So they decided to no longer schedule PEs on Monday through Thursday (with some occasional exceptions)

Seems like a good policy in general as Inkow I'd never be able to play a 5-8 hour tourney on a weekday without taking of of work..... but I wish they would revist the structure of PEs overall to increase attendance

Dangerlinto wrote an amazing article on Puremtgo about how they could have a fixed prize structure but still scale prize...  Basically award x boosters for y number of match wins with the top tier being 13 wins which would only be possible by going undefeated in a 10 round top 8 tourney Hopefully Wotc Legal team is taking a look at that suggestion...

Things that I want to see changed on MTGO:
1: 64 man drafts added to rotation of Events.
2: Friday night Classic/Better event times for Classic.
3: Visual/Audible Notification of disconnect, deckbuild/afk time expiring and round starts.
4: Prize Payouts as close to draft sets as possible.
5: Rotate Classic draft queues monthly!
6: MOCS level events for Classic/Pauper
7: Power 9!
8: Award Promo Cards for Constructed PEs (esp for Legacy/Classic)
9: Program Split option back in!
10: Set Favorite version in deck editor (i.e. always use x swamp)
11: Better sorting of gold cards in deck editor.
12: Bring leagues Back!

Well I wish they'd have increased the prizes rather than just cut them but I guess it's not that big a loss since they weren't really firing anyway with a few exceptions. I do miss the top 8 events that had min 24 and better prizes though.
I heard we're supposed to post in green if we don't like the new forums.

who does it really affect if the event doesnt fire? nobody. all there doing is taking events with higher payouts away.

It frees up space for events that do fire...

99% sure the PEs payout lower pack per entry fee that Dailies, could be wrong here though. I think its a switchover point thats relatively low in terms of attendance since PE prizes are fixed. And yes the real problem is that premier event payout is terrible compared to length of tournament+entry fee.

He spoke the truth and then made a visit to the Jersey pier.  RIP.

I thought I screwed up the math.... turns out I didn't too bad it's gone.

um PE payout is 138 packs fixed with min 330 entry .418 Packs to tix ratio

DE payout at minimum is 35 packs with 96 tix in, .364 packs to tix ratio.

PEs are a better deal than a min firing DE until 38 people join.

DEs get better as people enter... I'm not going to do the math... as there are too many variables..

so currently almost every Daily is better than the "premier" event. That seems incredibly backwards and nonsensical.
