Not only did the last MOCS screw EU players over, this you know. I don't buy the 3hours forward each time because last one was 27h forward.

The "community" cup team consists of 0 EU players, this you should also know.

The Magic Online Rewards program should be legal in some EU countries, this you should be able to investigate by pushing some of our money into some legal advisor.

Please give us a EU community cup or something along the lines with players noticed in the community. Please give us something.

Our money should be worth just as much.

Regards

sadly while I can understand the frustration alo realize there is a steep difference in prices between US flights and INternational flights not to mention the intricacies of passports and everything else.  Also while an EU cup may make sense to you, who would play does wizards have an EU branch?  So financially it seems to be in their best interests to stay local as it were.

And the MOCS you mentioned...wasnt really convenient to the US either.  And if you look here
www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.a... you will see there is a three hour increment between each event in the main time zone for wizards(Pacific).
I like fun, but competitive decks.  So I might not play what is optimal but they have normally been tested to have a 2/3 winrate.

Wizards of the Coast Europe.  Note that MTGO is still based in Washington.  This is one of the reasons Worlds was held in Rome last year.

To enhance this point for purpose of inserting inform to the random - The Community Cup occurs because the MtGO has a little bit of money they can use for promotion that they decided to apply to the CC idea.

The ball is now the OP-who-will-not-return's court:  Your entire existence is tasked with getting a group of players round-trip plane tickets to Seattle from Europe (or Asia if you prefer) for $300-$400.

Isn't the CC played with MTGO on PCs, even in Seattle?  Can't they just let a Euro join online instead of in person?  I know it's not the same experience as a live trip to Seattle, but at least its something.

Well, it kinda defeats the point.  Plus, it's not like a regular event where everyone plays their own game, there is a lot of collaboration going on, running from computer to computer during a draft to coordinate, gathering around the last player in a round to assist, that sort of thing.  And of course the trash-talking.  It pretty much violates all of the normal rules of helping each other during a match.  Which is part of the fun.
