The whole gold border thing in games is just completely terrible. I can barely even concentrate on the game now because of it. It's just so annoying to look at... I hardly ever complain on the forums, but seriously wow wotc. Do they actually even test these changes before they add them in? How could this possibly make the game better? It's fun how theres stuff that's been broken for months like the filter showing cards that aren't even legal in the format you choose or the right colors and yet they add in even worse changes every patch. Please change this back.

Turn off "highlight yadda yadda that can be played" under game play options.
Coz, you know, things were being highlighted wrong anyway.

If you can't implement a feature in an efficient way, turn it off - at least we tried?

You mean like formatted text?
As I said in that thread... Toyota needs to follow suit and remove braking since they cant get it right.

My point was trying to improve readability in a way that makes people complain about the readability is a fail. Saying "if you don't like it just turn it off and you get no highlighting of playable cards" is not an adequate fix. The old readability of highlighted cards is another example of something I did not have a problem with before so making it worse and telling me not to use it makes no sense.
*Note: I haven't seen the new style yet, but my opinion of it is irrelevant. The above "turn it off" solution is what I am taking issue with.

I don't mind the color or the border, but what really gets me is the flickering as you go through phases quickly.

yeah none of it really bothered me and i do think it looks a lot better than the green text.
I like fun, but competitive decks. So I might not play what is optimal but they have normally been tested to have a 2/3 winrate.

I think its highly distracting and completely unnecessary. The previous, simple, highlighted text was fine and all that was needed. I dont need my cards to flash bright orange at me every time I pass in and out of priority! I did however find the previous method usefull so you could at least give me the option to turn it back to the way it was instead of just having nothing instead. I also dont understand why the numbers and mana symbols now bleed off the frames into the picture boxes?? There are two options already to view the cards closer! making the cards themselves look worse to try and make these clearer makes no sense at all!! They also look completely out of focus and are a different font! I would like my Magic cards to look like Magic cards please! Not something else in order to try fix things that aren't even broken!
