Yeah I am thinking that me saying I would prefer to get the qaulifier point is what did me in . It wasn't like I was trying to scam the guy or anything I am just an honest player who wants to make the most of his time/money and MTGO. I've never had any problems splitting before, nor did I know it was illegal. Reading the posts in this thread has me really confused now becaues apparently splitting isn't illegal, but yet we are getting banned for it. Even if WOTC said hey you are not allowed to say "I would like the qaulifier points" is against the CoC, but a split is fine. They just simply said you are banned for bribery and thats all the insight they could give me.

Ambitious provided me with link in this thread: community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/758...

You might get more attention, specifically from wotc if you change the thread title. Atm it sounds like you're going on vacation and saying farewell. There was another thread asking for an official response on the mulligan issue that got one.
I heard we're supposed to post in green if we don't like the new forums.

How would I go about editing the thread to do that, or would I have to create a new thread and link this one? Sorry I'm not extreamly efficent at these forums and all the things you can do with them.

Good question, no idea.
You might need to wait till monday anyway when they're back in the office and can come up with a nice good excuse on this one.

Emphasis mine.
Yeah, I'm willing to bet that's exactly what did you in. You can't negotiate with the QPs. The minute you said that, you crossed the line from splitting to bribery, even if it was unintentional.
That being said, I'm sure it happens all the time. However, discussions are usually made privately in one fashion or another. You probably made the mistake of either saying it right out in the open, or saying it to someone who was willing to turn you in.
What I think of as odd is that they won't even discuss the specifics of your case with you? Did you ask them specifically what you had said that constituted the ban? Who reviewed your case? Etc.
For those who have had to deal with WotC before (I've never had to) -- is that common, where they won't even discuss your own case with you?
If I were you, I'd be calling WotC and asking a whole ton of questions -- along with asking if they review all the premier events to see if any of the finalists in those games traded packs either just before, during, or shortly after the match. Granted, their answer will probably be some variant of "We can't discuss that", but I would like to see Wotc start actually enforcing their rules fairly, instead of the selective enforcement that we get now.

Makes sense having to wait till monday. Sadly that seals my fate for MOCS indefiniatly. I appreciate all the information people have been providing, and it seems that it is ok to split so this penatly is a bit irritating.

Yes their dicipline warnings leave something to be desired. I got a warning once for disconnecting without conceding first, and they refused to tell me which account it was on.
