Greetings from on site at Pro Tour San Diego! Several changes today between looking at casual formats as well as the impending release of Urza's Saga on Magic Online. I hope everyone is enjoying the Worldwake prereleases!

Way to go wizards. Do you even play tribal or just throw darts at card sheets?
I like fun, but competitive decks. So I might not play what is optimal but they have normally been tested to have a 2/3 winrate.

And what part of the tribal B&R changes are you complaining about in particular? All of them, the bans, the unbans, the lack of bans, the lack of unbans, or something else?

100cs: Can't comment, since I don't know much of anything about the format.
Classic: Tolarian Academy is a restriction that I don't think anyone can really argue about. I don't mean it would be unquestionably wrong to leave it unrestricted, but I don't think anyone can argue that it should have been unrestricted.
What I think is more important is what wasn't restricted - namely, anything else. There was a lot of talk about restricting Mystical Tutor or LED, but I don't think either of them needed to be.

Having seen the insane things Recurring Nightmare  can do in Commander, I'm not at all surprised about it getting the axe. It's incredibly powerful, and used properly it's pretty much impossible for any colors but blue and black to deal with it on anything other than a stopgap basis.

Oh, it's plenty sensible. Two cards that had no purpose being banned are now free for use. With the exchange of endemic plague and extinction, the one sided wrath line has been redrawn consistently and logically. Two card one-sided wraths are fine, one card one-sided wraths aren't.
Shard, I have debated for years, literal years, to get some of the changes we see here. I've written articles, composed long diatribes, occasionally hassled Lee. Bannings are essentially Laissez-faire: A card needs to be restricted in Classic or irredeemably broken on the one hand, or format-warping due to the nature of Tribal on the other. I advocate, on the whole, a light touch on the B&R list.
This is the first time in the history of Tribal that we've gotten cards that shouldn't have been on the list off it, vestiges of Onslaught and the pre-Kamigawa rules finally overturned rather than being blindly grandfathered in. The trouble with combo shoehorn stopping is the sheer number of cards, similar alternates and the like that would need banning.
I can now empirically say that writing about adjustments to the banned list can lead to positive results, so go ahead and craft a missive about what you'd prefer to see. What have they missed and why should it be dealt with?

lol this have made your decade so far aj...im more curious as to how they make the decision seeing as how there are no classic tribal events other than well mine.

Banning Recurring Nightmare this month is a good ban. With the current card pool, the card is very good but not broken enough without the proper deck. Urza's Saga is coming online soon. We will get ridiculous cards like Great Whale  online that make Recurring Nightmare nuts. Also with UZ we get Planar Void  , a great card to stop graveyard based combos.

My god, if they somehow manage to allow players to use non-standard non-alphanumeric characters for password creation they will have hit the trifecta.
