I have watched with bizarre interest as these Magic website groups grew in size. MTGO stayed ahead despite the much smaller user base. I attributed this to the fact that MTGO being and online game, more of its user would be online savy, hence be part of an online group. But having now fallen behind, perhaps we, the MTGO community have reached some sort of critical mass? The group is where all important MTGO related announcements are supposed to be posted and comments on such announcements can be made. So if you have not done so already, please join the MTGO group and try to regain the glory of MTGO! (or not) (*Attempted Edit* I wanted to change the thread title to make it more explanitory MTGO GROUP membership numbers, but cannot because...well, you know!)

And so people say to me, "How do I know if a word is real?" You know, anyone who's read a children's book knows that love makes things real. If you love a word, use it! That makes it real. Being in the dictionary is an artificial distinction; it doesn't make the word any more real than any other word. If you love a word, it becomes real. --Erin McKean, Redefining the Dictionary

If I'm already in both, should I leave the MTG group to promote the cause?

The Magic group isn't just the cardboard group. It has all sorts of magic stuff that applies equally well to online and paper.

That's a very good point. Sometimes I can't see the forest for the trees.
Of course, I like trees.
