When I click on the kicker or newkicker or the mtgo link in get the following :
"This application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate this application."
I redownloaded it (another 14 hours). Same.
I copied it (which on my old hard drive, I was able to log on) from my old hard drive to an external USB and copied it to this new hard drive. Same response.
I have (and this is exactly the same as it was when it ran successfully on my old hard drive) Os XP 5.1 ,, Celeron 2.53 ghz ,, 512 mb ram ,, DirectX 9.02 ,, NVIDEA Geforce fx5200.
Please help me play mtgo on my new hard drive! And also, please talk down to me; I am not very computer literate.
Thank you very much.

Hi ElwoodPDowd, I had the same problem. I a did a search of the error code (0xc0000135) on google and downloaded .NET from microsoft website (www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx...). Installed it and problem solved.
Hope that it helps!
Cheers

I clicked the link Hellkite thoughtfully provided and after downloading it said 'this is incompatable with the .net you already have' . So I went to add or remove programs and uninstalled all (5!!) different versions of .net that were on here already.
Then I clicked that link again. Downloaded, installed. Nothing. Still can't run MtGO. As Nurgle said, it reports a problem to microsoft.
It doubly sucks because I just got an invite to WW beta.
Any other suggestions? Pretty please? WotC customer service doesn't seem to know anything. They told me to download MtgO again, and 'repair' it.

If you are running windows Vista you need to right-click the Magic Online shortcut and chosse 'Run As Administrator'
I disabled UAC in User Accounts so Vista runs like XP
Other than that .Net has to be up to date. Hope that helps.
