There are a couple interesting tidbits regarding the overall health of MtG(O) in this article, in case anyone hasn't come across it. Hopefully this means some additional resources will be allocated to the MtGO team in the near(ish) future. EDIT: Also from the same article! "One of the rules changes we made for Magic 2010 will be tweaked ever-so-slightly for the next core set" Remember folks you heard it here first. Maybe second.

I'm glad that they have come to their senses and are making the intro pack theme deck 60 cards again.
Also note that Legacy will be online before the end of the year, according to this article.

I find these two comments elucidating:
(when discussing Sorin Markov)
"His abilities really nail the "vampire" flavor, and he is nearly impossible to beat once he's on the table. Seeing this guy poke his head into competitive Standard makes me really happy."
(when discussing Bituminous Blast)
"I love instants with cascade—they can lead to the most exciting blowouts—which is why I designed and lobbied for this card to be powerful."
When the director of development thinks that instant win cards and blowout matches are "fun", it does not bode well for the game.

My guess will be with MED4 bringing the Power 9 to define Classic/Vintage as separate from Legacy online as well as bringing the rest of the Legacy playables (minus any from Masques block).

That would have made sense, except that we know MED4's release date is in December. I don't think they'll wait that long to put legacy online.

I like that too, and I also like the fact that we're going to get something before paper! We get the new intro packs with Worldwake, paper has to wait until Magic 2011!

It's possible that we could get it with one of the Urza's sets. How many Legacy staples are we still missing?

Come on guys... as much as i want the p9 online (and every paper card) , we all know wotc will make us wait as long as they can by spreading it out over like 2-3 ME sets.
They will most likely give us a few with the ftv:relics set to kick off the format... then a few more with me4.
They even said a few key cards would be missing .... like black lotus im sure.
They will hold that one until last I bet.
The people that say there isn't enough to print sets till me7 are forgetting that wotc, can, has and WILL reprint crap just to fluff the sets up.
It's almost like some ppl expect a FTV:Power 9 and wotc to be like 'here you go!' all at once... which isn't gonna happen.

Judging from the conversations dangerlinto and I had with some people while in Seattle, I don't think they're planning on the split with the first Urza set, which is when I previously expected it.
