Given the "success" of Exodus release events, maybe even surpass Force of Will?

No, because Oath only goes in one Classic deck, while FoW goes in at least half. A better comparison would be to Lion's Eye Diamond .

That's a bad comparison. Lion's Eye Diamond is in Mirage, which was buyable at the store for three years. Yet LED is still over 30 tix.
We have no basis for comparison at all. Oath is the clear 'best card' in the set. The set is undersold to the point where dealers skipped on it (never happened before). The set is going off sale from the store as soon as release events are over (per new policy with older sets), and the closest we have in comparison there is Stronghold's Mox Diamond, which is around 32. However, Mox Diamond is support not an archetype, only seeing play in fringe decks like 40 land.
Based on demand, Oath won't break out of the 32ish range unless an Oath deck starts consistently winning at classic. If THAT happens, then it may shoot up to 50ish.
Right now though, if you have Oath of Druids, hold them, it should soon reach the point where the accepted price is around 32, and bots are only paying 27ish right now.

That seems a strange policy for the older card sets, to only have them available for a few weeks all of a sudden. Did they also do this with the From The Vault items?

I think the reasoning was that they just weren't selling anyway - no real point in having them on sale. Instead they try and make them more exciting with the "limited time only" stuff, which may just have the effect of making people care about them less (and hence the drop in release event participation, etc.).
Who knows.

No it is the right comparison. In terms of cards. In terms of set sale maybe it isn't.
LED and Oath are both combo pieces and belong in a combo deck, FOW is not, can be played in more decks.

Do you have numbers to back this? Or is it more of a they said this, so I'll repeat it? Seriously, if they wanted sales, they should not overcharge for the sets. MSRP for exodus was $3.29. You can use whatever justification you care to to state they set the price, but in practice the current price point just isn't generating sales for a non-redeemable set with only about 10 relevant card in classic (if that).
This is the first release I've EVER seen where not one single premier release event fired... not even the draft events! Because this is a new level of scarcity for any set, that is why it is so hard to speculate on the Oath of Druids price. Personally, I'm doing as many triple exodus drafts I can possible fit in before Friday. So far I've opened 51 packs of Exodus (through events only) and I'm still missing three rares from the set. Mindless Automaton and Spike Weaver aren't groaners, but guess the last one I'm missing... it's green and and enchantment and costs 1G...

I didn't play in Exodus release events because I was too intimidated. :x I am total crap at Limited Magic. Well, I'm not really great at constructed, either. But the way I see it, I get better cards from spending my $12 or $15 in the marketplace. I can either:
* Spend $15 on random cards, sit through a 40(ish) minute deck building session (fun), then go 1-3 over a few hours while doing little else because I need to be ready for the next round.
* Spend $20 on chase rares and staple commons, throw something together for the casual room, and play 8 games of Magic in an hour.
Number two is where it's at. So Everybody but me - CRACK PACKS OF EXODUS!

*FACEPALM* !!!!
The stuff you say sometimes... I swear. How do people run a 'store' with such a distorded view of the game?
You prove it time and time again, here and in auction.
