Hello everyone!

If you just registered your account and wonder what to do wit the "New Account Package" in your collection we might have just the right thing for you.
MTGOAcademy.com is covering everything you need to know about it and more in the newest article:"In the Beginning - Oh, so many Choices."

It will show you:
  • Where to find your initial card inventory and how to “unlock” it.
  • What to do with the contents of this inventory and have countless hours of fun without spending a single cent!
  • How to be smart about expanding your collection and the places you have to know to accomplish that.
  • A lot of other tips, tricks, and strategies I wish someone would have told me when I started out.

Don't miss it! Also feel free to register and check out our videos and articles. It's fast and free!

We are always looking to bring you more material guys, so please let us know in the forums or in our comment section what you would like to see!

Until then may the shuffler be kind to you,

Plejades and MTGOAcademy team

I'm going to sticky this until we can get it merged into the New Player FAQ.

I'm trying to make my official VCL posts in purple

You posted saying my thread was moved/locked but nothing happened.      Spoiler: Show
Unfortunately, VCLs do not currently have the tools necessary to take moderation actions directly. VCLs submit their actions to ORCs, who then actually perform the action. This processing can take between a few minutes and several hours, depending on how busy/attentive the ORCs are.

If you see something that needs VCL attention, please use this thread (MTGO) or this thread (paper) to make a request and a VCL will look at it as soon as possible.  CoC violations should be reported to Customer Service using the "report post" button. Please do not disrupt the thread by making requests of either kind in-thread.

General MTGO FAQ

Yes, the Shuffler is Random!

Magic Math Made Easy
Draw probabilities, Swiss results, Elo ratings and booster EV

Event EV Calculator
Calculate the EV for any event with a fixed number of rounds and prizes based on record

Dual means two. A duel is a battle between two people. Lands that make two colors of mana are dual lands. A normal Magic battle is a duel.

Thanks bubba!

Nice to see that someone acknowledges the effort we put in. If I get some more time and ideas from new players what they would like to have covered in a tutorial (video or article) I will go ahead and do some more.

Until then have fun and may the shuffler be kind to you,

Hello guys,

I am always open to listen to people's suggestions. So we decided to give "guest comments" a try. From now on you do not need to register to leave a comment on an article. Just type it (you can input your MTGO name if you like) and submit. Not going to get easier that that.

Have a good time,

Marin aka Plejades

what editions are included in "Classic" play?  I am trying to build my first deck but don't want to mistakenly buy cards that can't be used in most games.  Classic is what I want right???
