How does this work with regard to multiple accounts? Do all points accumulate to a single "rewards recipient" via the associated email address or do any points stay with the individual accounts? Accumulation could be interesting for someone that splits their play between accounts (probably not to often now that ratings are gone) or in the context of clans.

Points are tracked by account. Points can't be combined across multiple accounts.

Well I can finally start spending money on mtgo again. (Of course now I have to have money to spend on it, since the economy is so bad. Oh well.)

Edit: Where was this orginally posted and when will it be up on the main page. Please start putting all announcement's like this on main page. (Release Events, Pre-release events). I can't find them and it's sad that I get more info from puremtgo than I do from the mothership.

I think you set tiers 8 and 9 too high. Try 250/500 rather than 640/1280... you can always raise them later if people complain. As it stands, I don't expect non-dealers will ever see tier 8.

Alternately, you could keep the numbers high but give players a choice of which foils they wish, and let players 'save up' in between months. Personally, I might make tier 8 after three months, but never in a single month.

Also, if someone uses a coupon at the store, does it count towards points?

You receive 1 reward point for every full $1.00 US (excluding coupons, shipping, and taxes) that you spend in the Magic Online Store?

Nope

See, I know I won't ever be able to get there...but WotC already has the numbers.
They know.

They know who would get it now and I'm sure they have estimates in place for increased spending/playing will raise some of these numbers.

I'm thinking it's near where they want it.

Does anyone else find this program really unexciting?

You get a few random lands + commons for doing stuff you already did. If you're really rich, you get slightly better cards.

I would have much preferred bonus (cheap) stuff for things that aren't already rewarded - stuff like playing quickly, chatting in certain rooms, and not quitting casual games. "Log in frequently, play tournaments, and shop at the store" is just more of the same.

In fact, my favorite part of this program is the newsletter/stats - though I reserve judgement on it until I actually see it in action.

It will be added with the July 1 downtime. You'll be prompted within the client the first time you log in after that.

I'm dissappointed in knowing I'll never get high tier, but just the fact that we get something for logging in is more than paper player rewards. With MPR you barely have the opportunity of getting every 'top' foil textless spell, but because it's cumulative, you'll eventually get one....I'll reserve further judgment until I see what the Online Player Rewards will be giving for 'lifetime points'
