My impression from that thread was that Mike got convinced that prize splits were good for MTGO, but that they weren't ready code wise or something like that.
Mike, can you let us know clearly what is the current status? Did you just decide against it?
If Mike just decided against it, then I'll be cranky as well. I don't think that was the case.
Practically everyone seems to want them... Even in a worse case scenario, nobody was able to suggest a single valid point against having them in MTGO* (queues etc.), and there were many valid points supporting them.
* Not saying valid points don't exist, and particularly they certainly exist in specific cases which were identified in the thread. But in general the glory aspect Mike brought up didn't really apply. This is basically the same issue as IDs.
Ivo. Still Worth and Gordon will have say in this. I don't think it is all up to Mike. In the end they are going ot do what is best for Wizards. Sometimes that is good for the player sometimes it isn't.

Of course they will have a say in it, as they should. But I want to know how things are standing right now
In the end, nobody was able to present any points on how it would be bad for WotC or bad for the players, and there were rather obvious effects that would make prize splits good for the players AND for WotC (essentially frees up players earlier, they can go back in the queues earlier, more queues fire, more profit; players that don't want the split can just refuse it, players that want them will obviously be happier and won't risk getting ripped off or getting caught by WotC doing something that is a bit on the gray part of the CoC).

Everything can not be done at the drop of a dime Emoticon. If anything Mike has proven he is working hard getting things done that OldMike did not. Give him time.

Prize Splits are on the list of things being discussed for eventual implementation. I say eventually because I don't know the timetable and don't want to send any false timetable signals. While I personally don't like the idea of them (as I expressed in that other thread), I now see that they would be considered valuable to a not insignificant percentage of our player base and making the audience happy is what helps keep MtGO going and then WotC in business and then me keeping my job and makes the world being a better place. Or something like that anyway..... There are several improvements coming with the Tempest release and I think you will like many of them. We are now starting discussion on the next round of fixes and improvements and I will throw Prize Splits into the pile. Thanks!

Hey Mike!
Could you summarize the current status of, AND the future plans of replay availability in regards to all modes of MTGO (premier events, leagues, casual, etc.)?
From browsing old posts, I can't tell if it's been entirely abandoned, or if it will be available only in casual but not tournaments, etc.
I can't express enough how enjoyable it is to review tournament rounds via watching replays. Also I find it invaluable as a learning tool for my own league matches, back when leagues existed.

Hey Mike, I was wondering if the scroll bars resetting is a known issue? I don't see it in the list of known client issues. This bug has been around since v3 started. It makes it very difficult to view tournament standings because if you are in the middle of the list, it will scroll back to the top automatically after a few seconds. Is this bug scheduled to be fixed or known about?

RGD standard event crashed last night, made a post in Event Discussion. I replied to that thread because the same thing happened to the Friday night 10E RGD Qualifier, event #98921. Hoping to get a response.
Thanks...

Hey Mike! On this thread people were asking about the status of that pyramid you showed us some time ago. Could you tell us about its current status?
