Any news on this? I've just had my auction yanked, so it is still not resolved!

My auctions keep getting removed as well.

Is there any updates on this?

I haven't heard anything.  eBay stopped responding to my inquiries, and WoTC hasn't updated my support incident.

You know, I don't think we're going to get the ability to list MTGO items on eBay any more...

Several years ago, eBay bought paypal, and it's become very very integrated into eBay itself.  It's one of the only payment methods you can use (can't use check or money order as of, like, 4 years ago).

Paypal has never played well with digital items because you can't actually track their delivery.

I think this is the only reason they started removing items.  They just aren't going to allow the selling of digital goods (heh, it's funny how they seem to be moving backwards).

The first time this happened (4 years ago), it was the same time that WoW started to ban sale of gold and other items over eBay.  I think MTGO just got caught up with this because it was a slightly similar situation (selling in-game objects).  So, with that, all it took was a communication with WotC to clear up the misunderstanding.

I don't think it's going to go like that this time.  WotC could be fine with selling of these items on eBay, but eBay's just going to ban them because they don't want to deal with the sale of digital items.....

I think we should all just give up, actually.  As sad as that is.

I fear that you are right.  However, I'm not going to give up until WoTC states that their efforts to help us out in this situation were not fruitful.

I was wondering about this yesterday. It is a great way in some cases to get ahead of the game. I mean for $100 you usually get anywhere from 3,000 cards on up. It is a lot better than trying to buy all that individually. I see that there is maybe 5 accounts as of currently up for sale.

I've been told WotC has no comment on this matter.

Unfortunately, VCLs do not currently have the tools necessary to take moderation actions directly. VCLs submit their actions to ORCs, who then actually perform the action. This processing can take between a few minutes and several hours, depending on how busy/attentive the ORCs are.

If you see something that needs VCL attention, please use this thread (MTGO) or this thread (paper) to make a request and a VCL will look at it as soon as possible.  CoC violations should be reported to Customer Service using the "report post" button. Please do not disrupt the thread by making requests of either kind in-thread.

This sorta sounds like WotC is not going to comment on having no comment?  That's quite, uhhh, insular?

Thank you, Erik.

That's means that Ebay has decided to ask WotC for money directly and they've either said no or are negotiations on the amount.
