Section 1: Troubleshooting
1-1 Trouble running v3? Try this first.Spoiler: Show
A few things to try right off the bat:
  • Check the Announcements Forum. MTGO usually has weekly downtimes on Wednesday, and all downtimes are announced there. During these downtimes you will get errors such as "Kicker cannot be downloaded", "No account exists for the username or password", "Cannot connect", and more. When the downtime is finished, these will go away and you can log in. Please don't create threads or post about errors during downtimes.
  • Go into your v3 directory and delete the "NewFilelist.txt" file and then try running v3. If this doesn't work try also deleting "Filelist.txt" then running v3.
  • Many times updating your .NET Framework(See section 1-2) or video drivers* will fix errors you incur. The errors people experience are widely ranging, however the most common are solved by updating .NET, I suggest trying that first, then trying to update your video drivers. (Strangely enough, some people have needed to 'downgrade' their video drivers :X, but try updating them first.) Occasionally, updating .NET will not be enough. Files can get corrupted, so it is sometimes necessary to uninstall your .NET and then reinstall.
  • Try the repair option on the kicker/launch screen. Sometimes you may miss downloading a file or get a corrupt file during updates and this should fix that. In some cases, you may need to run the repair 2-3 times in a row (at least, in the experience of a few users)
  • Update your DirectX. It's preferable to uninstall the DirectX you have and get DirectX 10 if you have Vista. Some users have experienced problems with DirectX 9c. Like with .NET Framework, occasionally part or all of your DirectX can get corrupted, so you may need to completely uninstall it and then reinstall.
Still having trouble? Ask a question here in the v3 Technical Forums if none of the below troubleshooting helps either. When making a thread, besides the error you are experiencing, the most important information to give are your system specs. Do this to find them out:

start->run->'dxdiag' Grab the system info from the first tab and the display info from the 'Display' tab and let us know the following: OS (Name and Version) CPU Speed and 64/32 bit Memory Graphics Card (Name, memory, driver level)

1-2 Updating .NET Framework!Spoiler: Show
Many of the errors people experience can be solved by updating .NET Framework or uninstalling/reinstalling it. Some players have had success only updating to v2.something, while others have updated all the way up to .NET version 3.5. Here are two methods to update your .NET framework:

major havoc wrote:

To update your .Net framework, click Start, Help and Support. Under Pick a Task choose "Keep your computer up-to-date with Windows Update". When you get to the Welcome to Microsoft Update - Keep your computer up to date screen with the two buttons: EXPRESS (recommended) and CUSTOM, click CUSTOM. Look through the list there for anything that mentions Microsoft .NET Framework. Check the box to download and install it, and then click Install Updates. Repeat this process until you have them all or retry Magic after each update until it works.

skullonastick wrote:

Microsoft has a method to determine the version of .net that is installed. You can find the tech article here: support.microsoft.com/kb/318785 Then, you can go to the Microsoft Download site and search for .net to get a listing of available downloads ... or click here. Once you have downloaded and installed .net, you should run Microsoft Updates to make sure that you have any and all patches for the version of .net that is installed.

1-3 Protocol Error/Error Trying to Check Files/Error: FileErrorSpoiler: Show
Delete the NewFilelist.txt file located in the MtGO v3 directory, then start v3.
1-4 What Ports does v3 Use? *Connection Issue Troubleshooting*Spoiler: Show
If you are having problems connecting to v3, it's possible that your computer or ISP is blocking some or all of the ports v3 uses. MTGO v3 uses the following ports: 7730 7770 8000-8099* 9001-9005 Please make sure any firewall or security software you are using has these ports open. *Note* these are all TCP not UDP *Wizards will (and has before) increase this range when they add more game servers. To analyze your connection you can run a tracert, this can identify if the connection problem is in your computer, with your ISP, or with WotC. If you don't understand the results of the tracert, feel free to post the results in the Tech Help forum asking for an explanation.
1-5 Timeout Error While UpdatingSpoiler: Show
When you timeout, it seems that you have to start over redownloading every file every time you try and update...it shouldn't work like that, so here is the work around: When v3 downloads the files, it puts them in a folder called 'tmp' (Look in the default install folder, like “C:\Program Files\Wizards of the Coast\Magic Online III&rdquo. Then, it moves the files to the proper place (i.e. the tmp folder will have subfolders, these match the subfolders in your MTGO directory.) Now, if you start to update and then get a timeout error, go into that tmp folder and move the files to their correct location. In this way, you will not have to start over each time you try and update, so you will hopefully be able to eventually get all the files. Also, for the specific files you timeout at, if they never seem to work, you can try and download them here: mtgodownload1.onlinegaming.wizards.com/m...
1-6 DirectX.DirectSoundoidPlay Vista ErrorSpoiler: Show
MattT's suggestion has worked for many people that get this error:

WotC_MattT wrote:

My guess would be you are using Realtek High Definition Audio. Try updating your sound card drivers and trying again. There is a known conflict between that card and Vista. This affects not only Magic Online, but other games as well. I found out about in on another game's message boards

WotC_MattT wrote:

For the sound card, go to the Control Panel, Audio options, then go to Properties and select "Show Hidden Attributes," and make sure the stereo playback is enabled. () Also, this post () suggests installing an updated audio driver. It looks like you can get it directly from the manufacturer by going here: and clicking “HD Audio Codec Driver” in the bottom right. (or by getting directly). Good luck!

1-7 Blank/Garbled Login Screen, "Cut Off" graphics, and Other Display Issues (Manually Turning on/off Software Rendering)Spoiler: Show
If you experience a blank or garbled screen, "cut off" graphics/buttons, or other display issues then it's possible your video card cannot handle v3's graphics and has failed to force software rendering on. (Or perhaps you turned off software rendering yourself and now have a blank/garbled screen ). If you are able to actually see v3 and log on, then it will be easier to change this setting under Menu-->Settings-->Display and Sounds. If not, here's how changing your rendering manually works: You have to find and edit the prefs.mtg file. Open it with notepad and change 0 to 2 (0= Software Rendering off (hardware rendering on), 2= Software rendering on) For XP the correct prefs.mtg should be in C:\Documents and Settings\"Username"\Application Data\Wizards of the Coast\Magic Online.0 The Application Data folder is hidden so make sure you have your settings to view hidden files and folders (To view hidden folders you have to go into Tools-->Folder Options-->"View" Tab-->Show Hidden Files and Folders) For Vista the prefs.mtg file should be in C:\Users\"Username"\AppData\Roaming\Wizards of the Coast\Magic Online.0 Note *Some problems are fixed by turning Software rendering on, and some by turning it off -- whichever works for you. ALSO, make sure your system is set to 32 bit color, 16 bit or other settings can and will cause graphical problems.
1-8 Loading screen stops at 8%/"mscorlib: Void EndOfFile()"Spoiler: Show
MTGO Client Closes at 8% when loading with an exception at mscorlib: Void EndOfFile() If you experience an error after updating your client you may need to delete the contents of the following Folder: 1. (Default install location) C:\Program Files\Wizards of the Coast\MTGO Online 3.0\Data\Collection Cache 2. Delete all contents within the Collection Cache folder. 3. Run MAGIC the Gathering ONLINE III *Note*: For many people the collection cache folder is not within "Program Files". The collection cache should be located here: For Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\""\Application Data\Wizards of the Coast\Magic Online.0 Also note, the Application Data folder is hidden so make sure you have your settings to view hidden files and folders (To view hidden folders you have to go into Tools-->Folder Options-->"View" Tab-->Show Hidden Files and Folders) For Vista; you should be able to locate a Collection Cache folder here: C:\Users\"Username"\AppData\Roaming\Wizards of the Coast\Magic Online.0 If you can't find the folder, for both XP and Vista, you should be able to search for a Collection Cache folder (Must have search hidden files and folders selected in the advanced options)
1-9 "Folder Invalid" / "MTGO has encountered a problem and has to close"Spoiler: Show
If you are getting errors like this when installing and this when trying to run v3 one of the solutions below should fix the issue. This problem generally occurs if you have your main drive (Local Disk; where your windows is installed) as any other letter but 'C' and possibly if you have a different drive (slave/usb drive) labelled as C. Better Solution Show

Umagula wrote:

At the end of the install, it gives the error, but MTGO is installed anyway. If you load now, it'll crash. However, you can instead go to the folder you installed to, find the file directx_dec2005_redist.exe and run it. It will ask you what temp folder you want to extract to, instead of using the hard-coded one (including drive letter) that WotC put into their installer against all reason and logic. After that, go into that folder you specified, run DXSETUP.exe, and it can modify your DirectX installation, for whatever reason WotC requires that for.

Worse Solution Show
Jactari's solution:

Jactari wrote:

It appears undoubtedly that the DirectX step of the installation process tries to access files on C:\… whatever the real letter of your hard drive is (and not taking into account whether DirectX is already installed or not), that the installation appears to be successful notwithstanding, and that the game crashes with a nebulous error message just after pressing the kicker's Launch button. I think the most common case is the following: external storage devices and/or USB devices are set on the first drive letters, and system disk is set on a later letter. You can't change the letter of your system disk (except maybe with a formatting or with a new computer – a disturbing solution), but you can (most probably) change the letter of your first device to a later one, create a virtual drive on C that redirects to your real system disk, run the installation on C, then modify the shortcuts to the real letter, delete the virtual drive, and bring back your device on its original letter C. Example: C, D, E stand for memory card readers F stands for a DVD G stands for the system disk Start > Run… diskmgmt.msc (disk management from admin tools) Right clicking on the C: device, change letter, then modify it to H (the first free one) Start > Run… cmd (command prompt from accessories) subst C: G:\ Launching MTGOIII installer, and enter an installation path which starts with C:\ (the game will be installed in G: with the same path) Modifying the target of the MTGOIII shortcut(s) appropriately (from C:\… to G:\&hellip Returning to the command prompt subst C: /D Returning to the disk management, and bringing back the device to C: MTGOIII works (Well… works is not the exact word for this, but at least it doesn't crash incomprehensibly anymore) I still don't understand how such a basic flaw has run during months unnoticed and unfixed whereas it had been correctly diagnosed and reported in December. And some people in other cases with a non-C: drive may not be able to use this work-around. I hope some more players will be able to discover the wonders of MTGOIII with this trick. Have fun.

1-10 Error When Purchasing New Account (Error:S0E0011)Spoiler: Show
You may also get this error or a similar error if you are attempting to use any type of Visa gift card or temporary credit card. These will work, but first you must contact the company (phone number or web site generally on back of card) and associate your address with the card so that it matches the billing address you enter when purchasing the new account activation. Previously, users could receive this error when trying to purchase a new account with Paypal, which hadn't been implemented yet. However, now you should be able to purchase new accounts with Paypal with no problems.
1-11 Kicker Graphic/Border Messed UpSpoiler: Show
If your kicker looks something like this:Spoiler: Show
With the 'border' all messed up and forming a cross in the lower left. This is caused by a non-standard DPI. If this bothers you enough to fix, you can change your DPI by: In XP: Right click your desktop. Go to Properties and then the Settings Tab. Click the Advanced box and your DPI settings should be right there in the general tab. In Vista: Right click on desktop, select 'Personalize'. In the Control Panel that loads click on 'Adjust font size (DPI)' Thanks to Robert_Langdon for figuring this bug out.
1-12 LoadingScreen.xml ErrorSpoiler: Show
Download LoadingScreen.xml from the below link (right click, 'save as'), then place it in your v3 folder.
1-13 v3 Single-File Download DirectorySpoiler: Show
This link contains all the files for v3, and you can download them directly. This can be used if your one of your files accidentally gets deleted, corrupted, or you are having issues downloading it during the update (timeout or somesuch).
1-14 Miscellaneous Troubleshooting IdeasSpoiler: Show
This section will list solutions several to less common problems.
  • L0001 Error: Servers are offline/you are disconnected Note that this error can occur for many different reasons, many of which this won't fix.

    905er wrote:

I followed these instructions, which are located at the link below: "Log on as an administrator, go Start > Run and type: "cmd". In the window that appears type: "netsh winsock reset". When the program is finished, you will receive the message: "Successfully reset the Winsock Catalog. You must restart the machine in order to complete the reset." Close the command box and reboot your computer." Hope this helps others out there that are having the same problem.

  • Check your computers date and time to insure it is correct. For some reason, incorrect date and/or time can cause various errors; from you not being able to connect/update/login to certain draft queues not being displayed.
  • Make sure the "Courier New" font is installed on your computer - all versions: italic, bold, regular, etc. The absence of this font can cause errors when starting the kicker or after kicking launch. Various unrecoverable errors are related to this issue, although the errors may not say anything about "Courier New", if they do you can be certain it's because you lack this font.
  • Try the solution listed in section 1-8 (Loading screen stops at 8%). Deleting the collection cache folder can fix more problems that the specific one listed (like MTGO crashing while logged on or when starting up).
  • The foil animation can be taxing to some user's systems. Slow-downs of MTGO or crashing while deckbuilding can sometimes be fixed by going into your MTGO settings and disabling the foil animation.
  • While most instances of system-slow downs as you play and click lag are caused by low computer specs, some users can mitigate this by one or a combination of the following: turning on software rendering, disabling foil animation, "Prefer Speed Over Quality" (settings-->Gameplay)
1-15 Last Resort -- ReinstallSpoiler: Show
Sometimes it will be necessary to uninstall v3 and then to reinstall it. I hate suggesting this because of the time it takes, but some problems will be fixed by reinstalling v3. Also, when reinstalling, you may want to delete MTGOIII.exe (the setup file MTGO_Helper downloads) and re-download that before reinstalling. It's possible to have gotten a corrupted MTGOIII.exe and thus a corrupted installation.
Section 2: Where to Download v3
2-1 Normal Download Spoiler: Show
Here is the link for the v3 installer: From:GZ's announcement Note: This allegedly utilizes both http and bittorrent, so if for whatever reason you can't run something that uses bittorrent, try the http download in section 2-3
2-2 Bittorrent DownloadSpoiler: Show 2-3 Http DownloadSpoiler: Show
If possible, use the download located in 1-1, I believe it will cause less load on WotC servers. However, if that isn't working for you this should.

4-1 v3 Min & Recommended SpecsSpoiler: Show
Minimum Requirements OS: Windows 2000 CPU: PIII 700 mhz RAM: 256mb Video Card: DX9 Compatible, 8mb video ram (software rendering) 1024x768 resolution Internet Connection Recommended Requirements OS: Windows XP or newer CPU: P4 1ghz or faster RAM: 512mb or more Video Card: DX9 Compatible, 128mb video ram 1024x768 resolution or more Broadband Internet Connection from: (elf's 3/22/07 Blog Post) and here and here *Note* The listed requirements underestimate the amount of RAM MTGO v3 uses. With the minimum requirements( 256 mb), you can load v3, but it is virtually impossible to actually play a game. With the recommended requirements (512 mb RAM), you should be able to play v3, but you may need to restart the program every once in a while to clear the virtual memory. Increasing your RAM to 1gb or beyond is recommended by me and other users (so it's not an official recommendation ).
4-2 Will v3 be available for Mac and Linux?Spoiler: Show
As it currently stands, there will not be a MTGO v3 created to run on Mac or Linux. Like with v2, you can use a program such as parallels or vmware to run a virtual windows and play MTGO though that. It may seem harsh, but MTGO is a niche market, and mac/linux users are a niche within that niche. Additionally, with macs being able to dual boot windows or use a virtual machine to run windows that is an, albeit annoying, way to get around this so wizards (currently) chooses to no invest the resources in mutliplatforming MTGO. Here is a thread that is attempting to compile how mac/linux users have successfully gotten v3 to run on their computers. You can use this as a guide to help you set up v3, but if you’ve gotten it to work in your own way, please contribute to the thread.
4-3 Where are the Avatars/Avatar Table View?Spoiler: Show
Avatars and the avatar table view were available when v3beta started in Spring of 07. However, they were buggy and there were many more important things that required work, so they were shut off. When more important parts of v3 are finished (leagues, multiplayer, etc) the Avatar table view will be re-implemented. Now you will just have to use the spreadsheet (it's better anyway )
4-4 How do I/will my decks transfer from v2 to v3Spoiler: Show
V2 used the .dec format for saving decks. V3 will read this filetype, but it default saves decks into .dek format (XML). So, you can use all of your v2 decks in v3, HOWEVER you must go into your v2 decks folder and transfer those files into your v3 decks folder. If you uninstall v2 before transferring deck files, you will lose all your decklists :X Hamtastic has made a detailed guide on how to transfer decks here: Old stuff, pre-Hamtastic's guide Show
The custhelp site as made a guide for those who are less technically inclined *Note* Some people will need to place there v2 decks folder in: C:\Documents and Settings\"Username"\Application Data\Wizards of the Coast\Magic Online.0 For Vista users this folder would be found in: C:\Users\"Username"\AppData\Roaming\Wizards of the Coast\Magic Online.0
4-5 Where are my net decks!?Spoiler: Show
It seems net decks were not transferred to v3, you will have to remake them all. HOWEVER, many net decks are automatically saved in your Magic Online folder for v2. They will have names like netfile######.dec. So, you can try and salvage your decklists that way.
Spoiler: Show
4-6 Why do I receive cards AFTER limited tournaments.Spoiler: Show
In v3 you get a new cards window popup after completing your limited event. So, the question is: do you actually receive those cards when you open them during the event or not until afterwards? Apparently, you do get the cards, they just won't show up in your collection until you either finish the event OR log out/in. For more information you can see this thread: And especially this post:

WotC_Gordon]This isn't actually an ownership issue, you can currently log out of the client and log back in and see the cards that you opened at the start of the PE in your binder. However, we need to make a change so that the cards can be used in casual play matches. We just addressed this for Constructed PEs, but that change isn't in the beta yet. Hopefully locking of cards from both limited and constructed events won't hinder casual play matches in our upcoming update to the beta.

4-7 Where are leagues/multiplayer/redemption?Spoiler: Show
Since launch v3 has been missing several features such as multiplayer*, leagues, and redemption. However, leagues and redemption are high priority. Why are they doing this? Simple. v2 was pretty pathetic, stability was at an all time low. WotC is a business, thus they need to think of profits. With the reduced stability of v2, money was being lost. They have two choices: wait until v3 has EVERY feature before launch or release v3 with the bare minimum. It was decided that launching with nearer to the bare minimum was preferable to allowing MTGO to limp along under v2. Yes, league and multiplayers are being put out because of this decision, however, in the long run it is better to suffer though lack of leagues/multiplayer than through more releases on v2 (at least in WotC's eyes). You should also check the below item for more on why v3 was necessary.
4-8 Why couldn't we use v2 until v3 was totally finished?Spoiler: Show
I think this post from elf explains it beaut wrote:

I think this post from elf explains it beautifully:

elf wrote:

The team didn't forget, it just chose to try and prioritize a list of features that needed to be worked on. And then rate them as to whether this was something we could possibly release without, or a must have we had to wait for. Leagues were something that were debated heavily, but in the long run, did not make the cut as a feature that we absolutely positively could not release without. People seem to think the decision was either "release v3, or delay v3 and keep v2 up." But really v2 was spiraling downward and simply could not handle the number of users and the number of cards on it. The real decision was: (1) leave v2 up, v2 team works on v2, v3 team works to finish v3 and release v3 in 09 or 2010. (2) turn v2 off, get everyone working on v3 and release it in late 08, with months and months of no magic v2 or v3 (3) turn off v2, release v3 in stages. In the long run, getting v3 up and running was pretty critical. Leagues will come along soon as we're done with them. First though, let’s see if we can solve some of the client issues. Tomorrows patch should have one of many client fixes; this one takes a first stab at addressing font issues.

4-9 Opening 2 Clients/Trading between your 2 accounts.Spoiler: Show
The shortcut placed on your desktop during v3's installation leads to a program called renamer.exe. This program loads the kicker so that it can check for updates. However, if you have one instance of v3 up, renamer.exe will give an error. Thus, in order to open 2 instances of v3 at once you need to go into your v3 folder and run MTGO_NET.exe. This file bypasses the kicker and goes straight to the log on screen. *Note* While you can always use MTGO_NET.exe to open MTGO and thus bypass the kicker (saving time) if there has been an update you will have to run the kicker(renamer.exe) first because you can't log on until MTGO is fully updated.

Section 5: Having Trouble With How v3 Looks?
Spoiler: Show
thevoor has made a thread with many suggestions and what not to help with people having trouble with how v3 looks. The link is here, I suggest going there if you need to ask questions, he may be able to help. Also, below is his first post, which contains alot of the relevant information.

thevoor wrote:

Since V3 was brought up a few days ago, I have been trying to help people whose complaints might be related to technical issues. I can't help with sign on issues or bugs or exception errors, there are plenty of people who are good with those issues. I am good at Windows and computer hardware. I am an IT Admin for a living and have over ten years of experience in the field. I am putting this write up out there to help people who are having a problem with how V3 looks and there is a chance that the problem is related to the display. The first question I usually ask is "Do you have a glass tube monitor or an LCD monitor?" The next question I ask is "What size is your monitor?" Glass Tube If a glass tube monitor is being used, running MTGO on anything smaller than 19" is probably going to produce a bad experience for most people. I would consider 19" glass tube the smallest size that will produce a decent MTGO experience. Most people who have a 17" or smaller glass tube will probably have the display resolution set to 1024X768. This is the minimum resolution that can run MTGO, but you can expect the minimum experience. Most 15" monitors only have a viewable space of about 14". They will probably not even support 1280X1024 and even if they do, most programs would be unusable. I promise you, you will think the worst of MTGO as it will look extremely small and the cards in the window will be extremely large. You probably won't even be able to get more than four cards across in the deck editor. Most 17" monitors only have at most 16" of usable space. They will support a screen resolution of 1280X1024, however the fonts in Windows and applications will probably be kind of small. Even using the size slider in MTGO may not be able to make the fonts big enough to be comfortable, especially if you do not have perfect vision. I haven't heard any complaints from people running on 19" glass tubes or higher. LCD LCD monitors are not like glass tubes. They have something called a "Native Resolution". What this means is that when the LCD was manufactured there is exactly one LCD pixel that correlates to one pixel generated by the video card. Running an LCD at anything but the native resolution (usually the max setting in the display properties) will result in a blurry image, blurry fonts and an overall fuzziness in all applications. This blurriness/fuzziness seems to be exaggerated in MTGO, I don't know why, it just is. Standard Aspect If a standard aspect (not wide screen) LCD monitor is being used, running MTGO on anything smaller than 17" is probably going to produce a bad experience for most people. I would consider 17" standard aspect LCD screen the smallest size that will produce a decent MTGO experience. Most 14" or 15" standard aspect LCD monitors will have a native resolution is 1024X768. This is the minimum required to run MTGO. However, most people with this setup are complaining that it MTGO looks really bad. Most 17" or 19" and some cheaper 20" standard aspect LCD monitors will have a native resolution of 1280X1024. This resolution is where MTGO starts to not look bad to most users. The size slider is available and when set to the largest setting usually is passable to most people. Some people on 17" LCD's at 1280X1024 still complain that the fonts look small in Windows or in MTGO. A 20" standard LCD monitor will have a native resolution of 1600X1200. I haven't heard any complaints from people using a 19" or larger LCD screen. Wide Screen Most 13.3", 14.1", and 15.4" wide screen LCD's (usually laptops) run at a 1280X800. The size slider is available, but there is little to no effect using it at this resolution. I believe MTGO was programmed with wide screens in mind so even though this is barely above the minimum specs, this setup is usually pretty playable. Although on a 13.3" screen, stuff will be pretty small. Some 15.4" and most 17" wide screen LCD's (still laptops) run at 1440X900. At this resolution, the size slider has a bigger effect on MTGO. Smaller screens that use this resolution may produce small fonts in Windows and in MTGO Most 19", 20.1" and 22" wide screen LCD's (desktops now) run at 1680X1050 or higher. I have yet to hear anyone complain who is running on 19" standard aspect LCD screen or higher. Also, I haven't heard any complaints from people on a 15.4" laptop or higher. I am not telling anyone that they must upgrade to play MTGO, and obviously, laptops are going to stay where they are. I am merely sharing what I know about computers and what people are saying in game. Added 4/21: It was pointed out to me over the weekend that there was a graphic setting that I had forgot about. Under Game Play settings, there is a Graphics Preferences section. In there is a speed versus quality question with a drop down. If you have sufficient hardware, setting this to quality should not affect performance, but has been reported as cleaning up some of the blockiness of art and mana symbols. I am also not talking about video cards here, that is a whole other issue and I haven't really spoke with anyone whose problem was related to the video card. If I missed anything, please let me know so that I can update this post. Also, if this is the wrong place, it can be moved to where it should go.

Can we dump the phone number for customer service in here and instructions to change your email address if there is a way to do it other than by phone or email?

hey guys, i had brought up checking the proxy settings that internet explorer uses in one of the numerous "can't run/launch mtgo" threads, as a means of troubleshooting problems. im a little vague on what settings need to be enabled or disabled(or even where they reside in IE). it was able to fix a problem that a clanmate had that nothing else, including a free reinstall, was able to. i'd like to see someone with more knowledge about such Proxy Settings add that info to the faq.

I notice I have .net framework service pack 2,3 and 3.5. Which one can I remove, will it affect MTGO or my notebook.
