Ok, I doubt this format will actually be popular, but thought I would try anyways. The rules are basically like Rainbow Stairwell and somewhat like the Chess format, ...Basically.(Some Army of Darkness "humor" for you there.)
Anyways here are the rules for Creature Feature:
- Format is Classic(Singleton)
- Decks must contain at least 3 colors.
- Each deck must be 60 cards exactly
- Each deck contains exactly 24 lands. Non-basic lands must be able to be tapped for a minimum of 3 different colors. (Exceptions are
Reflecting Pool
and
Vesuva
)
- Each deck must contain exactly 36 creatures consisting of the following:
- 6 creatures with power = 1. Those same creatures must each have a different toughness ranging from 1 to 6.
Example: 1/1, 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/5, 1/6
- 6 creatures with power = 2. Those same creatures must each have a different toughness ranging from 1 to 6.
Example: 2/1, 2/2, 2/3, 2/4, 2/5, 2/6
- 6 creatures with power = 3. Those same creatures must each have a different toughness ranging from 1 to 6.
Example: 3/1, 3/2, 3/3, 3/4, 3/5, 3/6
- 6 Creatures with power = 4. Those same creatures must each have a different toughness ranging from 1 to 6.
Example: 4/1, 4/2, 4/3, 4/4, 4/5, 4/6
- 6 creatures with power = 5. Those same creatures must each have a different toughness ranging from 1 to 6.
Example: 5/1, 5/2, 5/3, 5/4, 5/5, 5/6
- 6 creatures with power = 6. Those same creatures must each have a different toughness ranging from 1 to 6.
Example: 6/1, 6/2, 6/3, 6/4, 6/5, 6/6
Dryad Arbor
counts as a 1/1, not a land.
Zoetic Cavern
counts as a land.
*Power and Toughness must be the base(set) number that is printed on the card. So
Phantom Centaur
or similar creatures are not allowed.
**Some of the creatures are very limited online as you will find out(take the 6/3 creatures for example).
Like I said, I don't see this format catching on too much. Too much of a casual format for anyone to care about it. But, I thought I would throw the idea out there like the rest of the formats that I have created/suggested, which happen to be in my signature. Check them out sometime if you would.
Hope you enjoy building a deck and playing the format. Thanks!
