Nomination Rules:
Anyone may nominate a card from any thread in YMTC as long as it was posted between 12:00 AM of the starting date and 11:59 PM of the ending date of that week's thread, Pacific Standard Time (that's what I live by, and I'm not fancy enough to use UT1).
All nominations require the following:

1. The full card posted into this thread.
2. A link to the post/thread where the card originated.
3. The name of the card's creator.

You may nominate up to two cards a week.
You can't nominate your own designs.
All designs nominated will be put into a poll in the next week's thread. The design with the most votes is declared Card of the Week!

Voting Rules:
You may vote for any number of entries. Remember, every vote you cast matters, so try to vote only for the cards you really think deserve to win.
You may vote for yourself.
All cards carrying the most votes when the poll closes are elected as the winner for that week.
All winners and winning cards will be collected in the sblock above.

Last week saw a bunch of discussion on how to better run this contest, with suggestions for both unlimited nominations and single nominations, unlimited voting and single voting, entry trimming, nomination seconding, ranking systems... and so on. The goals of this contest are to be fun, casual, and easy, all aiming at giving recognition where anyone feels it due. I don't believe a single voting system is conducive with this goal, nor having to second nominations. Unlimited nominations is a feature worth exploring, but it does threaten to bog down the thread in an unwanted manner and cause more catalogging work for me than I'd like. In the end, I feel the opinions were so greatly dispersed between different changes and no changes that keeping things the same right now aids the contests consistency more than it hinders further participation. I still very much want to hear opinions. I might even make a poll for it.

That said, nominations for next round and votes for this round are due Monday, March 25th, 9:00pm. I leave for Vegas early the next day, thus the early closing time. (I want to get the next thread up, after all.)

Voted for Demote cause I really like it, and for Pulsating Ooze cause it's weird, but elegant weird. :>

Pulsating ooze needs a power and toughness

I like demote, but it would make more sense if it grabbed a creature with less cmc rather than exactly 2.

Why can demoting a deathrite shaman give you a tarmogoyf in its place?

Also, the card needs another ability that allows counters to ~target~ this creature! ^^;;

That's all this ability even does!

I'm afraid this ability does nothing before your counter would finally resolve, but how does that spell get on the stack in the first place? Maybe your creature could simply have haste, together with something like: "At the beginning of your upkeep, play this card from the battlefield without paying its mana cost."

I had to physically stop myself from voting for "Spare No One" just because of the name. Such an awesome name.

Moriok Rigger does absolutely nothing to boost other riggers. You are incorrect.

Moriok Rigger is not a Rigger in print. Only in Errata
