Voting for yourself is super lame, guys.
I vote for AzureShade. It's the kind of elegant common that I really enjoy, and it plays better than the simplicity of the text box implies. And scorpions are cool.

AzureShade's card seems nice, but I didn't vote for this creature because "frenzy 2" often wouldn't matter! This creature deals three points of damage when it's unblocked, but also deals "three points of lethal damage" when it's blocked.. As long as your opponent's creatures don't have a super-high toughness, just imagine that it's a 3/2 creature without abilities, whether it's blocked or unblocked..

Since everybody seems to breaking the rules and voting for themselves...I vote for Purplebackpack89's Burning-tree Giant
Still think Frenzy X with the A/E destruction is overpowered. Say you were playing EDH and your opponents controlled two artifacts and two enchantments. You get "Destroy 4 artifacts and enchantments, and your creatures get Frenzy 4 until EOT". That's way too much for CMC 4. It's only underpowered if your opponents control 0 artifacts or enchantments.

VOTING OVER
Second place, tie, +20 BRAGGING RIGHTS each FrankyFourFingers, Azure Shade, PurplebackPack89, Dtolle
First place, +30 BRAGGING RIGHTS Libe
6 votes... half of which were for themselves... That's disappointing. How did this happen?

I really hate the turnaround time of threads in this forum. So, why the lousy turnout in the voting section and why did so many of you vote for yourselves.
I've almost never considered adding a 'dont vote for yourself' clause in the rules, because it's almost never an issue. What happened?

I would feel bad if I voted for someone else and that resulted in them winning and me losing. But not voting, and thus looking out for myself, generates a sneaky feeling of logic and intellect that is really much more pleasant all round.

I'm not going to vote for another card if I don't feel like it was better, or more creative.
If the rules of the contest don't state that there will be a vote, and then a vote suddenly happens I'm going to vote for the best card, and as designers I don't feel like most would look at their own design and say to themselves, "Man, I deserve to lose, this other submission is obviously better than mine,"
As a rule I don't generally participate in vote driven design competitions, on this site or others, as they are more often than not an unfairly balanced popularity contest.

I didn't vote because Frenzy is a shallow mechanic. I didn't enter for that same reason. Although I just had an idea, so I'll throw it out there. Reckless Opportunist Creature - Goblin WarriorFrenzy 3 Of the many instincts that goblins have, several of them are "Hit things that can't hit back."0/1It's not too far away from things already submitted though.
Everything Mown does is elegant.
