Wanna note that Terraforming Landscape is straight-up land destruction against monocolored decks.
well given that all of their lands are basic or you are taking a basic land over a nonbasic one (which will obviously be utility and probably of higher priority for destruction) I'm ok with that for the first time about 3-mana LD
well, its also designed for use on yourself if you need to. but i think wizards tries too hard to make LD. i agree it should be a lil high in mana cost(they seem to be 4 and 5 commonly), but this spell is designed as a utility spell(oddly as it seems) so 3 seemed fitting and made it an instant for max potential. and thanks for the "I'm ok with that for the first time about 3-mana LD", means im going the right way to coming up with some interesting but potential card ideas.

@Edacade Taking an example out of Planar Chaos is... hardly convincing. I'm going to be just as bad and take an example out of Time Spiral: Moonlace, anyone? Also, "target land is [basic land type]" type effects exist already, even in GTC (Realmwright). I figure the case for Rapid Hybridization is that, between power/toughness, creature type, and effect, they are changing way too many attributes. @Total Mephitic Ooze and Necrotic Ooze say hi.

The slime can be an ooze like Kuro pointed out. I don't think it's overpowered, either. It's a 2/2 that doesn't do anything immediately if he comes down turn 4. It doesn't have any protection; dies to pretty much anything right off the bat. The most annoying thing I could see would be Slime-> Bone Splinters saccing a Black Cat or something (on turn 5 or even earlier) to kill their fatty and then immediately kill off all x/2s, but that isn't broken by any means.
Standard Pauper! (play it on MTGO)

For flavor justification? No, it's not. Everything that was color-shifted was done so for either flavor reasons , because that color can also get that effect, or corrections to past mistakes .
Also, "target land is [basic land type]" type effects exist already, even in GTC (Realmwright).
"target land becomes..." link ; Note that they're all "until end of turn"
Aquitect's Will gets to stand by itself in the search for land type changes (and it uses a counter to counteract memory issues).
Realmwright does not target, and lands are the chosen type in addition to their other types. We're talking about complete subtype overwrite here (because that's what I'm seeing this "destroy target land, its controller searches for a basic land card that doesn't share a land type" as). Everything other than the Will that doesn't have a duration actually does have a duration: the destruction of the permanents overwriting/changing the subtypes. Illusionary Terrain , Contaminated Ground , Convincing Mirage , Lingering Mirage , Phantasmal Terrain , Lush Growth ...and you know, technically the Will has a duration too: "for as long as it has a flood counter on it." Oh, hello Ferropede . What's the news from Medicine Runner ? Did they finally get their Power Conduit fixed?
There are no spells right now that cause a permanent land type overwrite, because that would cause memory issues. The closest they could ever get to doing such a thing without causing memory issues is destroying the land and having its controller put a land that doesn't share a land type onto the battlefield.
I figure the case for Rapid Hybridization is that, between power/toughness, creature type, and effect, they are changing way too many attributes.
Wasn't a problem for Snakeform . Why's it a problem for Rapid Hybridization? Answer: Because they wanted it to be a permanent change without a fix .

yea, i know there are black ooze, but it just feels more like a slime and slime isnt a current creature type.
@ weisse thats what i was thinking when i created it. its a threat if left on field but can be dealt with easily as i fealt it completely unnessesary to give it indestructable or hexproof or shroud(hence deathtouch came to mind as a great substitute and gives it a possible easy defense or offense capability other then the counters)
