Well, Spell Rupture is Mana Leak on turn two when you flip Delver .
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders - The most famous of which is "never get involved in an thread with GM_Champion" - but only slightly less well-known is this: "Never go in against AzureShade when card design is on the line!

Some rando was playing an Esper Delver build, almost had to punch him in the face when he got his good ol' blind flip T2 delver. Then I crushed him, and it was k.

I find it hard to imagine anything being banned this Standard. This format is surprisingly diverse, even if some core pieces of decks remain the same. When Stoneforge and Jace were banned, we were literally seeing entire top 8s filled with those cards. Thragtusk is certainly overpowered by a bit, but it's not broken.

My friend who plays BUG tempo usually has a rupture for 2 or 3 with snapcaster and dispel backup postboard. Which essentially forces me to ditch everything that costs more than 4 postboard, or die terribly.

I only have these 93 cards in my collection of standard. I wish every card in the game only cost me 10 cents.
I wish I could use these 93 cards to build a deck that allowed me to beat aggro, play bigger midrange creatures and have answers to all control decks. In fact I wish I could win every game with these 93 cards.
I hate losing, but I am only losing because my 93 card collection forces me to only play Blue and Black and because of that I can't answer any of my opponents threats.
I wish that Blue had a creature with flying, first strike, haste, vigilence, 6 toughnees and only cost 3 mana so that it could answer a thragtusk. I also wish I had a black creature that could tap for mana, destroy enchantments, exiled my opponents graveyard and had "you cannot play infinite combos" on it.
Anyways. Yeah. Nothing needs to be banned, there's over powered cards. Wizards is creeping power levels up with every set. It creates a game where you need to chase the best. Here's a hint, try homebrews for once, it allows you to tune your deck to whatever is pissing you off at that moment. Build a deck to beats one thing and not the other. The variance in standard right now allows you to still be competitive with a deck that completely ignores one archetype matchup. Beat Sphinx and Thrags, lose to Humanimator.
Not to mention it's much easier mentally to take a loss knowing there wasn't much you could have done. (I'm not designed to beat Humanimator, but I have these tormods in my sideboard, lets get em in and hope for the best!)
According to everyone on these forums. You should only play the best decks in whatever format you want. You are a bad player and should just quit if you intend on using anything else.

I don't think it answers them, I think it helps, but they're still getting a creature or drawing cards.
