Please help with my questions below. Thanks in advance!

1) It will work to play a Magical Hack on my own Acid Rain to destroy all of my opponent's swamps by changing "Forest" to "Swamp" because the Acid Rain doesn't target. It will NOT work to play the Hack on my own Volcanic Eruption because I have to declare targets as soon as the Eruption is played and I can not target any legal Mountains since there are none (they are all Swamps). Is my understanding here correct?

2) Can I tap Charm Peddler and target himself to discard a card from my hand even if my opponent has not played any spell to deal him damage?

3) Enchantment Alteration This card can be used to move an Aura onto a creature with Hexproof or Shroud because those abilities only prevent the creature from being targeted and this card only targets the Aura and not the creature, is this correct? Is there any particular reason the Urza's Saga version of this card says "The new target must be legal" in parenthesis? Is this just saying you can't move a black aura onto a protection from black creature, etc?

4) Sage of Lat-Nam I block my opponent's attacking creature with my Ornithopter , I then use the Sage to sacrifice the thopter before combat damage is assigned. This is legal, correct? My opponent's attacking creature will remain blocked and will not assign any combat damage to me or the Ornithopter (as long as it doesn't have trample). Do I have this right? What if the attacking creature has Lifelink? My opponent wouldn't gain life because his attacking creature was blocked but dealt no damage, right?

5) Am I correct that the following cards have a cumulative effect while multiple copies are in play?

Lurking Predators

Larceny

Jace's Erasure

Grim Feast

you can use Magical Hack as a make-shift Counterspell on Volcanic Eruption , if you want

you need a source
but you can just use Charm Peddler both as source and as target

that is correct, it works through Shroud and Hexproof
the reminder text is just to remind you that you can't put it on objects with Protection

yes, they will all trigger when the trigger condition is met

they don't care what else might trigger on the same condition

Ok great, thanks for the answers!

One follow up question on the Charm Peddler. I can't declare my opponent as the source right? It would have to be a permanent in play?

Thanks.

You can't choose your opponent.  You can choose a permanent, or a spell or ability on the stack, or a couple of other things.

The relevent rules:

119.7. The source of damage is the object that dealt it. If an effect requires a player to choose a source of damage, he or she may choose a permanent; a spell on the stack (including a permanent spell); any object referred to by an object on the stack, by a prevention or replacement effect that’s waiting to apply, or by a delayed triggered ability that’s waiting to trigger (even if that object is no longer in the zone it used to be in); or, in certain casual variant games, a face-up card in the command zone. A source doesn’t need to be capable of dealing damage to be a legal choice.
