how do i get symbols like the red mana symbol, or a 0 in a circle, or a tap symbol, into my posts?

Click the  button in the post editing window to bring up a popup listing all the smilies. (Symbols are listed on the third through fifth pages.) Click on any of them to insert the code for creating it into your post. Once you know the code, you could also type it in directly.
There's also an explanation of another method, the mana cost tags, to be found in the FAQ thread at the top of this forum.
