Oh look another overcosted cipher card.  Boy that's a true statement for about 90% of them.  This one is alright I guess.

It typically allows you to get 2 creatures back the turn you cast it, which is quite strong by itself. On the other hand you still need the mana to play the creatures, and in the early game you may not have valid targets. I think 1.5 fits resonably well.

This can be really powerful, but seldom is. 1.5 seems about right.

Well I swapped this card into my deck tonight in place of a last thoughts against a removal-heavy orzhov. In game 1 he beat me after playing out 2 executioner swings, death's approach, orzhov charm, aerial maneuver, and grisly spectacle. I was running a low-curve dimir with 2 basilica screechers and 2 metropolis sprites as my cipher targets. This card actually worked decently in this situation. For now I will consider it a possible sideboard card against removal-heavy decks.

In fact, funny story, it was this very card that caused my opponent to rage quit, saying he shoulda won the whole draft with his deck. I will give him credit for having lots of removal spells, but the lack of extort creatures and the fact that he was maindecking 2 contaminated ground , even in games 2 and 3 after knowing I was DIMIR for Pete's sake, puzzled me a bit.
