Yeah, but there are so many better things at the 0-drop artifact slot.

Okay, here is the clincher. I've been waiting to say this.

The "cam girl" this was inspired by was just a girl from a social networking website, Stickam. Her name was TinyTerror and she was just a regular girl who was on her webcam, totally unrelated to any type of adult content.

I hope you all feel really smart now.

This is like someone coming into class with a bloody nose and everyone's like "Jeez what happened to you" and they're like "I ran into a wall" and everyone laughs at them for being an idiot but then at the end of the class they say "HAHA JUST KIDDING I PUNCHED MYSELF IN THE FACE!!!!!! TALK ABOUT OWNED HAHAHAHAHA"

I really enjoy imagining this from Kevin's perspective. Because in Kevin's world, Rosewater actually reads everything he types. Why this will be the star of my next set, and no one will ever believe you Kevin." Then he closes his Macbook, so his servant may move it out of the way, while another servant puts a Fetal Richard Garfield Clone lathered in Steak Sauce in front of him. Then Mark Feasts.

This isn't a well made build-around me card. Those are usually very open ended within their restrictions. Birthing Pod makes you want a good curve, probably with ETB and dies effects, but it lets you use any creature. Ooze Flux makes you use +1/+1 counters (and, so, creatures), but it isn't restricted with evolve creatures, for example.

Your card on the other hand wants a very specific thing (lifelink), gives you a very specific thing (making them Vampires), and still needs you another very specific thing so that it matters (something Vampire-tribal related).

There's 18 creatures in Standard with lifelink, most of which are Limited fodder. The entire history of Magic doesn't have that many creatures with lifelink, especially ones that you want to use. Baneslayer Angel , Knight of Meadowgrain , maybe Rhox Faithmender or Serra Ascendant , and Battlegrace Angel or Alabaster Mage to make others Vampires, too?

Vampire tribal isn't too big either. Vampire Nocturnus and some of Zendikar block help. Most of Innistrad is awful in this regard. And... nothing else.

I could think about bringing Nip Gwyllion s and Leonin Sunstriker s, plus wasting a card for an enchantment if it was going to make my creatures better. As it is, the card is way, way too narrow, is not exciting, it leads to one (and only one) deck that is not good nor fun, difficult to build, and in general just forced. I like the idea of turning creatures with lifelink into Vampires, but I think you should run with that flavor and add something rather than call it a day and hope someone builds around it. Good ideas are useless if they are used in useless cards.

By the way, this card overrides all their creature types with only "Vampire". I'm not sure if you wanted it to be "in addition to their other types".

You'r right, or some sort of "gains Vampire" like wording perhaps, I've updated the card.

Innistrad has a lot of good red and black vampires, they make for a powerful tribe in Standard.

I guess it also doesn't help that vampires also often have abilities like flying and lifelink anyway.

just curious, why do you guys dislike bay so much? I was surprised when he was brought up in the BAN GM_CHAMPION thread, and now this. I'm not saying I'm a fan of him or anything, I just don't get it.

this is the only subforum I really visit, maybe he does annoying stuff in other places?

Also so my post is on topic... yeah this card is kind of a cool idea but too narrow. I think you could make it like, "Choose [medium-length list of keyword abilities] and a creature type. Creatures with the chosen ability are the chosen type." It would still be cooler than conspiracy because it would be a lot less mana, but also not so narrow as your card.

Talk to him about Green sometime, or hit one of his other berserk buttons. It's not pretty.

The entire Innistrad block has these cards that care positively about Vampires:
Bloodline Keeper / Lord of Lineage
Stromkirk Captain
Rakish Heir
Chosen of Markov
Vampiric Fury

Of those, Bloodline Keeper is very good, but it can work on its own (it doesn't even need to transform to be good), so it's less tribal-y. The Captain is okay, but combat-centric abilities are less relevant in Construct. Rakish Heir should be okay, I'm guessing. Chosen of Markov is awful everywhere, and Vampiric Fury isn't going to be enough.

Vampires were the least supported race by far, their only "thing" being their Slith ability, that almost didn't even reach one of the colors. It's also funny that there as many Vampire-hating cards ( Elite Inquisitor , Slayer of the Wicked , Blazing Torch , Wooden Stake , Midnight Duelist ).
