I think you can get around this as its a stack of creatures, rather than a single face down. Just get some comp rules governing creatures stapled together.
Yeah, I thought abou it after I went to bed. It's not tecnically a face-down creature, it's a creature with face-down cards in it.
Unsummon . What goes back to your hand? Runed Halo . Is it rendered ineffective?
Unsummon would bounce all the cards. You return the creature, and the creature is 1+ cards. Runed Halo wouldn't work, since they're nameless, just like creatures with morph.
Everything Mown does is elegant.

There really should be a comp rule stating something along the lines of "If a non-permanent card, for whatever reason, ends up on the battlefield, it is put into its owner's graveyard as a state-based effect." A simple fix which opens up a lot of design space.
I have a sig because it gives my posts better spacing.

Anyone else read the title and click on it expecting it to be creatures that stay on the stack instead of the battlefield?

Regardless of the rules troubles, I just don't find this mechanical idea all that interesting. They just feel like mutilated versions of Bearscape .

Take the cards in your hand. Put them on the battlefield face down in a stack. Count the cards in the stack. That stack represents a creature with P/T equal to that number.
