Simic Forcemage
Creature - Human Wizard
Evolve
Remove ten +1/+1 counters from any number of creatures you control: Take an extra turn after this one.
"There is energy everywhere.  I take from a few to aid all."
2/2

-- simic granting extra turns
-- this seemed most logical way to do it
-- thoughts?

other thought was to remove  the evolve and turn him into a 2/3 for cmc 3:

Simic Forcemage
Creature - Human Wizard
Remove ten +1/+1 counters from any number of creatures you control: Take an extra turn after this one.
"There is energy everywhere.  I take from a few to aid all."

My Kraj EDH deck would take like, six hundred to the fiftieth power extra turns with this guy.

I feel like "Forcemage" denotes something like adding power to creatures, not taking extra turns. "Simic Chronomancer" or something like that would be more appropriate.

Other than my first statement, this guy would be reasonably balanced. You'd have to put time into getting your extra time. I'd be excited if it was printed.
I should probably put something here someday.
Here's a set I'm working on: http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75842/29422241/Corthenhol_--_A_Work_in_Progress

Nah, keep with the first version, with evolve.

Wording should be "Remove ten +1/+1 counters from among creatures you control:" but I like it.

among is a good proposition

it's a shame that "you control" must be specified

be easier to say "your creatures" bit that confuses ownership issues
TLDR

Really interesting design. I feel like the power level is just right (on the first one).

Not much to say here, but you could probably decrease the required number of +1/+1 counters.. The card would mainly be played in decks that are consisting of 0/0 creatures with +1/+1 counters..

thanks for the feedback
"among" works fine for me
and glad the evolve version doesn't seem too strong

cats_and_me = decrease to how many? -- i fealt like 10 was a good number because it's a lot and requires working toward, but isn't so absurdly difficult -- with all the evolve cards, graft cards, modular cards, reinforce cards, scavenge cards, and the scores of green cards that just plain add +1/+1 counters.... 10 isn't that many
there's also all the clockwork creatures -- and a particularly abusable guy: Steel Overseer
but if keeping in just blue/green = Decree of Savagery ; Hunger of the Howlpack ; Increasing Savagery ; Incremental Growth ; Soul's Might ; and Strength of the Tajuru can each get a LOT of +1/+1 counters at at a time

I think 10 might be balanced already. I had an EDH match the other day where I have 2 Master Biomancers out with Ooze flux and ended up making 10 Oozes a turn each of them coming into play with 10 +1/+1 counters... adding this into the mix would easily give me 10 extra turns... per turn...
