Was wondering how bloodrush worked flavor wise. I see it as the creature being ridden in on, Ghor-Clan Rampager , then dying from over exertion. Is this feasible or not?

Personally, I see it a lot more like a type of magic that channels the spirit or essence of a creature into the target. We've seen something kind of like this with Feral Animist before, and it really fits the entire sort of tribal magic empowerment that the Gruul ahve. Another reason is that the creatures don't actually enter the battlefield and if you bloodrush multiple times, that explanation gets a little... strained.

I dunno, that may be a closer explanation than it seems, because bloodrush copies the creature's P/T and abilities exactly, mechaincally it is like attacking with two creatures as one (in a simpler way than banding). So the flavor really could be a simple as a Gruul guy seeing his budy going into a fight and jumping in to help out.

I imagined it as a one shot totem magic sort of thing.

Honestly, I see bloodrush as a similar form of the powers that the title character from the old Bravestarr cartoon exhibited.

I see it as a creature going fullout RAGE when attacking, thereby transcending a totemic treshold, consequently taking in the essence of a bloodrushed creature as a become-one-with-your-inner-wild_nature sort of thing. Then when battle is over and the creature's all sober again the effect disappears.

I see it as the creature riding a man-horse that's on fire.
...Sorry, that image is just too great to ignore. It's pretty much my headcannon now.

What's funny is how closely that fits my head-cannon as well....

I was thinking of a reverse Devour. Your current creature eats the new guy to gain his power.
