Bay, learn how to quote. My only recollection of Terravore mattering was as a sideboard in ONS/ODS standard.

I was referring to a editing issue he since fixed. But I appreciate your assumption that I was unable to read.

I have 6743 Planeswalker points, that's probably more than you.

So in your list of non-green cards that beat green; you include a card that is essentially red-green?

All of the examples are rare or even rarer. I cannot imagine the same at common.

That's not really an argument against. There are certain things we only do at rare.

Also, despite the insistence that a double-faced card has a tough hoop, that's only true for Ludevic's Test Subject , Chosen of Markov (due to tempo issues), and werewolves, really. I seriously doubt you can't sacrifice a human to Ravenous Demon and transform it the next turn. Or in Modern Tron decks put Elbrus, the Binding Blade on an Invisible Stalker . Seriously.

The point is "flying fatties are broken" is simply not true.

Those that were removed from the thread. Can't you see the Baneslayer Angel example, or the Shivan Dragon one?

The only way people are going to play Elbrus in any resonable time is cheating it into play with a Stoneforge Mystic or Quest for the Holy Relic , tron decks have better things to do with the mana. Looking past that, it's 8 total mana for a +1/+0 equipment that requires you to connect with a creature before it does anything remotely useful. How is that not jumping through hoops? How is sacrificing a creature every turn not jumping through hoops?

You can't judge a card's identity on it's capacity to combo off with a series of other cards- Which is to suggest that you're more right than your post is saying that you are. Elbrus has a number is ridiculous loopholes to obtain a fairly ridiculous threat. The whole point there is for there to be a flavorful resonance of doing ridiculous things to summon a wickedly powerful demon. The demon requires multiple steps of work, and is fickle  (because y'know, it's a force of evil trapped inside of a knife.) But Elbrus is a bad example because it doesn't prove anything about flying being relavent to creatures because Writhengar is , and artifact creatures aren't opposed to flight .

And I fail to see how a mechanic can be broken in green but not in black. Or is green simply supposed to be the color of "Half of what you have is a worthless hoser, and the other half is strictly worse than what other colors get.", because if so, then the dev team is really good at their jobs. If not, then the dev team is really, really bad at their jobs.
