I had a choice between two cards during my last draft and wasn't sure if I made the right choice, so I'd like to get everyone's opinion. Pick One Pack One would you take Angelic Skirmisher or Firemane Avenger ? One was foil but I'm not saying which as the value outside of draft wasn't the point. Also thing about it as a redraft so you can't keep the card. I went with the Skirmisher and it worked out marvlously but I also really like the Avenger. Is it just a matter of taste? I like that one is only a four drop but it is two colors and less powerful.

If you're srs about this, I think avenger is better.  Sometimes you just won't hit 6 mana.
I don't have an egosig because I'd rather my ideas be judged on their merits than on mine.

I'm confused, what do you mean "if you're srs about this"? I didn't take the time to ask which card to take if I wasn't serious. That being said I think Orzhov hits six land almost every time, but maybe Boros wins or loses sometimes without getting to six land. I think it's a tough call.

Avenger I like the best, even splashed in Orzhov. I've annihilated every opponent who played Angelic Skirmisher and haven't lost a match with a deck containing Firemane Avenger.

Tarnations! We must be at an impasse. Cause I have never won with the avenger and never lost with that there Skirmisher. Maybe they are both 5.0?

In my experience, Skirmisher is far better at turning a game around.

Occassionally when catering, I've been put the task of arranging Fruit and Cheese or Grilled Vegetable platters.  More than once a high class buffet has started with the mark of Phyrexia upon it.  Since i've got a good eye for color so it looks great to people who don't get the "joke" (it's a niceley divided circle after all: the outline gives you 4-6 "regions" to work with), this has actually got me put on platter design more often, resulting in Phyrexia's presence at more private and industry events.

I have 6812 Planeswalker points, that's probably more than you.
