alright so i'm trying to create a mill deck for the commander/EDH mill deck and i sorta "discovered" this in the deck that i made, problem is i don't know if this actually works as i totally suck with how stacking spells works and thus would like confirmation to its possiblity

here's the combo:

first have omniscience out and enter the infinite

play enter the infinite and draw your deck into your hand

if not already out play elixir of immortality

play any tutor card (for sake of the combo let's say demonic tutor ), however, add psychic spiral and then one with nothing to the stack, in that order.

one with nothing resolves, you dump your deck into the graveyard

psychic spiral resolves, you shuffle your grave into your library and probably mill an opponent out

demonic tutor resolves and you search for and pull enter the infinite into your hand

activate elixir of immortality to put demonic tutor and psychic spiral back into your library

play enter the infinite and repeat the process over and over for each opponent.

and before you say it, yes i realize that this an incredibly convoluted and unneccisarily complicated combo, but those are my favorite kinds, and believe it or not this situation has come up twice now in my play group, (or rather i could have pulled it off but again, not sure about stacking rules.)

as for safety nets for the combo, really it only needs a nihil spellbomb to counter graveyard shinnanigans such the eldrazi titans, but i'm willing to take suggestions as well. thanks a bunch in advance

Everything you said sounds good. It seems like you understand the stack better than the average player.

As long as you can create a predictable gamestate, your combo is fine (this combo does that). There are some combos out there that are way more random and can get you in trouble for taking too long.

...because 1) they use a loop for which a shortcut cannot be made, and 2) they can return to an earlier game state. This thread's combo does not do either, so it's ok.

....you can create a shortcut. You could say "rinse and repeat targetting that player instead" to handle the remaning opponents instead of actually doing it.

I'd use Relic of Progenitus

You probably understand this, but just to be certain.  You would have to pay the cost on elixir of Immortality. Omniscience won't make doing so free.

i have that in my deck, but i prefer nihil spellbomb because using relic of progenitus would exile my psychic spiral would it not?
