Ha, awesome story! I love how well this piece showcased Orzhov flavor.
I hope we hear from Bosco again.

Okay, here is the clincher. I've been waiting to say this.
The "cam girl" this was inspired by was just a girl from a social networking website, Stickam. Her name was TinyTerror and she was just a regular girl who was on her webcam, totally unrelated to any type of adult content.
I hope you all feel really smart now.
This is like someone coming into class with a bloody nose and everyone's like "Jeez what happened to you" and they're like "I ran into a wall" and everyone laughs at them for being an idiot but then at the end of the class they say "HAHA JUST KIDDING I PUNCHED MYSELF IN THE FACE!!!!!! TALK ABOUT OWNED HAHAHAHAHA"
I really enjoy imagining this from Kevin's perspective. Because in Kevin's world, Rosewater actually reads everything he types. Mark is sitting there right now, reading this, and thinking "The greatest trick the devil ever pulled. . ." Or some such. He chuckles low, then clicks on "The Best Of KEVINSET" and says "Yes, this'll do just fine. A busty lady with banding who deals direct damage to Zones!? Why this will be the star of my next set, and no one will ever believe you Kevin." Then he closes his Macbook, so his servant may move it out of the way, while another servant puts a Fetal Richard Garfield Clone lathered in Steak Sauce in front of him. Then Mark Feasts.
Sorin walked into the chamber where his newly wed bride, Vampy, awaited. A beam of moonlight illuminated his brilliant silver hair as he strode with confidence towards the bed. His shirtless body showcased his powerful abdominal muscles and he was wearing jeans with holes in the knees.
I wish more girls play magic cards...
Have you considered assassinating Kevin?

I liked Jenna better. She never gave us half a story and then made us wait for several weeks before finishing it.

One thing that I really dislike about the orhzov guild is that everything about their flavor is black... Nothing about them ever seems to show their white nature, the only source I've seen do it is in the original ravnica books, Teysa one time ordered a vaccine to be distributed at no cost to a region. I mean most of the guilds feel one color more than the other but orhzov doesn't even touch white to me...

Good story. There was a minor bit of confusion for me when it switched from talking about Jozica to the High Prelate - I thought those were the same person so the gender change surprised me.
This story wasn't super white, but I'd say that the feeling of belonging that Bosco got out of it, that "nobody pushes around the Orzhov", was the white aspect. But I agree that it was underplayed compared to the black side. I'm going to guess that for writers of fiction, the dark side of the Orzhov is just more interesting to talk about.

Servitude is a huuuuuge portion of corrupt white. It enforces Order, something White loves. The hierarchy/ caste system is a very White thing. I loved the flavor here. Really glad we finally got an Orzhov story! White is very centered around Duty. And though the Orzhov do immoral things, they do it for Wealth, and Respect, of their peers, and most importantly, themself. Though, I thought Ambition, was a red thing. Ah well.
In addition, this is not always what all Orzhovans are about. Stories, are about conflict, and when conflict is around, there's usually a little more black in the mixture.

Hey, if you guys aren't satisfied with the lack of white in this story, you should check out The Good Pontiff by Ruwinreborn. It's funny, actually... this story and Ruwin's story are almost like inversions of one another--his has the same sort of narrative of ambition and rising in the ranks of the Orzhov, but from the good side of things. Also, it's a really good story. It's actually in a few parts, so scroll through the thread to read the whole thing. I liked this one. It was short, but it's another nice exploration of Ravnica's setting. I felt like perhaps the relationship between the two Guildless could have been expanded a bit so that the betrayal felt more severe, but on the whole it worked fine. Also, apparently Thrulls can talk. Huh. That's kind of a surprise.
