My biggest disappointment with this week's articles are the other articles he linked to.
The upside-down one has no accompanying forum thread anymore, so any further clues as to the intricacies of this format where, I assume, everything is applied in reverse and you work your way to 20, are lost to the ravages of time.
The choose-your-own article, while fun, is rather difficut to read, although you can recover the necessary information by dredging theough the source code a bit.
It's a shame, too, because those seemed interesting. Ah well, I'll have to content myself with gorging on the other formats.

Aww. I remember the forum thread to that upside-down article, from waaayy back. We spent a while puzzling over the clues, especially the slightly contradictory understandings of what lifegain might mean. All lost to one of the several forum reshuffles. (And I don't seem to have the digest email from any threads older than 2006, sadly.)
