Thopter Foundry + Grand Architect look like they have good synergy together. I'm trying to turn this synergy into a combo deck, preferably a modern legal one. I'm just having troube finding an additional card or two that will turn it into a good combo. Right now all I can think of is Flayer Husk + Thopter Foundry + Grand Architect + Salvaging Station . You sacrifice flayer husk to thopter foundry to get a token and 1 life, salvaging station taps to bring flayer husk, you tap the blue token for grand architect's ability to sacrifice the flayer husk to thopter foundry, the germ token dies so you can untap salvaging station and bring back the flayer husk, repeat for infinite guys and infinite life. Any suggestions on easier ways to combo with thopter foundry and grand architect?

The classical combo piece for Thopter Foundry is Sword of the Meek . Combined with the Architect you could get "infinite" Thopter tokens, "infinite" life and "infinite" mana, if you manage to reduce the tokens' power/toughness to 1/1 again. Could be had with Curse of Death's Hold or the like. Or change the color of those tokens.

How do you not go infinite with Foundry + Sword + Architect?

Tap Architect for
Use to sac Sword to Foundry
Get a 1/1 Blue flyer, gain 1
Sword triggers and equips to the token, you have a 2/3 flyer (who happens to be Blue)
tap the token for

I see a nice loop that generate infinite colorless mana, gains you infinite life, makes infinite 1/1 flyers + a 1/1 flyer equiped with Sword.  You can then pump that mana into Gemstone Array so you can use it to cast any spell/use any ability rather than an artifact specific one.

Be a jerk and add in Time Sieve and you get infinite turns.  Couse with infinite 1/1 flyers, you only need 1 extra turn, but it does offer protection VS Aether Snap and people blowing up a Ratchet Bomb set to 0.

It's 2/2 with the architect, so no sword.

Ah, got distracted by the wall of text that is it's 3rd ability and never noticed the first.

Necrotic Ooze with Architect in the 'yard?  You dodge that pesky +1/+1 static ability and keep the useful 3rd ability. You just need to free before you start to combo off.

Or Heartless Summoning , easier to play than Curse, and you get a discount on other creatures.

That's a lot of work though, might as well skip the Architect business and just go Thopter Foundry + Sword of the Meek and slow roll through the combo and slowly build up the army/life while protecting yourself with countermagic and some targeted discard.

Or Illness in the Ranks . No need to make all your creatures smaller, just the ones that need to be smaller. And it can affect some of the opponent's creatures, too.
