monk had the idea before the deck came out and it didn't seem to go anywhere so I would like to try to rally the troops.

Figuring now many different ways have been found to play this deck it might be fun to check each others cuts and plays.

Easy really. Bracket tourny.
First 12 players that can commit to getting in their round between 5 to 11 US cdt every week are eligible as this has been a very difficult thing to get together in the past.
European players are welcome but you must be prepared to play between these hours.

Best 2 out of 3 every round. I figure that will make the top players and decks stand out;

I would like to get 12 players in but I will take 10.

Deck assignment is easy really.

I'm in.

I'm down for this.
Chancellor of the Spires is one of the worst cards in the deck. With only two of them, you are almost never going to get one in your starting hand. If you do get it in your starting hand, it will just sit there. If you get to cast it, it will get burned immediately.

CW is NOT how a mono blue deck should work.

If anyone in our little group believes in prayer ... we could use all you can give us.

Edit: My name is Mark.
It wouldn't be right to pray for the devil.

I don't get it, is this a tournament of nothing but MM mirror matches (MMMM)?  I don't think I'm down for that because MMMMs are usually really unfun and forever taking.

It would be more fun if half the people signed up to play MM and the other half got the chance to try and beat it (no using the same deck twice though).  Then each round you move forward the MM players with the best win ratio and the best non-MM players, until the last round is the MM player with the most wins against the non-MM player with the most wins.

And then we could scientifically determine whether MM is OP or not.

I like your idea but I wanted to make it simple this time around.
As there are a few successful ways to build and play this deck, I'm wanting to find out which build and/or what player is better.
Throw in a little luck of the draw of course.

Seeing as how the games could take very long, I will shorten the matches to best 2 out of 3.

I fail to see how this tournament setup would determine whose build is better. It may decide which build is better in the mirror, but I think many of us built it to be optimal against decks that develop much faster. For example, Dream Puppets is said to be favorable against MM, but it's generally considered one of the weaker decks overall. I'll participate in this tournament because I like tournaments, but I would hesitate to say that the winner of it necessarily has the best build.
