I think the Pet is stronger than the keyrune, and I've also had better luck getting the keyrune to table. It probably won't, but there's an outside chance.

Lots of cards available for our colors. Orzhov Keyrune  Acceleration to Ghost Daddy. Kingpin's Pet  Flying Extorting Bear. Nav Squad Commandos  Expensive, but solid late game piece. Assault Griffin  Overcosted in its previous set, but shines here. Psychic Strike  Solid counter spell. Prophetic Prism  Fixing for a tricolor deck. Gutter Skulk  It's a bear. Flying Extorting Bear sounds awesome.

Devour flesh looks bad with our 2k lashes, but I agree we need early spells that kill things. I guess we could be casting it on ourselves if we draw it after a lashes. Okay I'll go devour flesh  here over hands of binding. I guess hold the gates isn't the kind of white card we were hoping to get fed. Maybe next pack we'll find our 3rd extorter.
