If a player puts two Betrothed of Fire  cards on one creature and sacrifices another, would it gain +4/+0?

You can only activate one ability at a time. Whichever ability you choose to activate must be paid for in full and will only give +2/+0. After that, you're welcome to activate an additional ability, but you'll have to pay for it too.

That's the difference between activated and triggered abilities; each activated ability requires its own payment, while numerous triggered abilities may profit from one single event.
