Hello! I've made a mono blue skaab deck mostly for fun but I also want it to be at least somewhat competetive. Here's what I have so far.... Creatures
Alchemist's Apprentice  x4 Deranged Assistant  x4 Screeching Skaab  x4 Armored Skaab  x4 Headless Skaab  x4 Skaab Ruinator  x4 Stitched Drake  x4 Spells Dream Twist  x4 Thought Scour  x4 Curse of the Bloody Tome  x2 Lands Island  x22 I've thought about adding black or even green into this deck but I don't have the budget to afford shock lands so I've kept it mono blue. I'm looking for any advice on what I could do to make this deck anymore competetive while staying true to the skaab theme so all help and critisism is welcome! Thank you!

This deck wants a playset of Misthollow Griffin  , if only because it's so cool! I think Unburial Rites  should be in the deck as well. You can cheaply fix your base with Transguild Promenade  or Shimmering Grotto  if you don't want to get into dual lands. Drowned Catacomb  and Glacial Fortress  are fairly cheap, however.

I was always a fan of Geralf's Mindcrusher  . Especially if you can repeatedly blink  him.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders - The most famous of which is "never get involved in an thread with GM_Champion" - but only slightly less well-known is this: "Never go in against AzureShade when card design is on the line!

Thanks for the replies! I really like Misthollow Griffin , I'll definately take out Headless Skaab for it. As for Geralf's Mindcrusher , I love the card but what would I take out to make room? Plus the thought of taking out Curse of the Bloody Tome to add 2 more Island s to help with the higher mana cast, and then when playing, I mill him more than I draw him and end up pulling lands because I have too many...*takes a deep breath*...it worries me. So if I were to open the door to more expensive creatures in this deck and take 4 Geralf's Mindcrusher s, I have a play set of Skaab Goliath  laying around which would hopefully work well too. Again thanks for the help so far guys, I'm still looking for more help!
