A friend of mine pulled one during the pre-release. He commented it killed him almost every time he played it. On the flipside, another person I played at the pre-release had one and hit me with it. First card it hit for me was Merciless Eviction That hurt.

it's a decent card it's Bob on a bigger body with Evasion that can wreck your opponent if he is not prepared
*hits enigma on head with a big stick repeatedly* NO NO NO NO NO!
Do you know why people play bob? Because it's card advantage. Do you know what this doesn't give you? CARD ADVANTAGE.
I was under the impression bob was a Thoughtseize variant that only works on removal spells. Or sometimes a very unusual rampant growth.

I had one in two different pools at the pre-release and at the release, and I can attest that it was pretty terrible in Sealed. I constantly had it in hand, but only wanted to cast it once.
I still think the card is going to be extremely good in Standard.

One time at the prerelease I played against a guy who cast one and then made two copies via Stolen Identity . He burned himself by 10 with Giant Adephage and two cheap cards. Was fun.

I got one mythic foil in my booster box and it had to be this one. ** sob ** But seriously, perhaps you could cast Dimir Charm near the end of your opponent's turn and, using its last ability, put a high CMC card on top of his library. And for your own library there's Index .

I don't know what you're crying about. A foil Seer is like $25 now, and I think it's going to stay there or go up. The card is just screaming for someone to build a U/B Aggro or Tempo deck around it. And if that deck turns out to be Tier 1, the card is going to be extremely expensive.

I will say I'm currently trying it out in a BUG shell. I just don't think there's enough good tempo cards in U/B alone to make it work. Plus, curving Experiment One into a 2-drop (I haven't picked on yet...) into Dreg Mangler / Vampire Nighthawk into Seer is pretty sweet.

I'd like to know how viable a simple control deck would be. Counterspells are cheap enough to keep my CMC costs down so I'm not slaughtering myself. A little side-impact lifegain here and there, like Nighthawks, as insurance, and just let the seer do it's thing.
