A little homebrewed experiment I came up with when Cipher was spoiled. Decklist is as it is currently--I'm working on getting more shocklands.

4 x Tormented Soul
4 x Invisible Stalker
4 x Vampire Nighthawk
3 x Elusive Krasis
3 x Harbor Bandit

3 x Farseek
3 x Abrupt Decay
3 x Rancor
3 x Hunger of the Howlpack
3 x Hands of Binding
2 x Rapid Hybridization
2 x Biomass Mutation
1 x Increasing Savagery

3 x Drowned Catacomb
3 x Woodland Cemetery
3 x Overgrown Tomb
3 x Breeding Pool
3 x Swamp
3 x Island
2 x Hinterland Harbor
1 x Forest
1 x Watery Grave

Sideboard
4 x Negate
3 x Tormod's Crypt
3 x Duress
2 x Golgari Charm
2 x Deathrite Shaman
1 x Abrupt Decay
I should probably put something here someday.

I dunno about the Dryad. She seems like a good choice in this deck prior to me wanting only unblockables. She'd find a home in a different deck than this one.

Cipher isn't exactly the pivotal point of this deck. There are only four cards with cipher, and having most all my creatures unblockable makes sure they'll connect to get the cipher trigger. It's sorta icing on the cake.

I feel this deck is missing something, so that's why I posted it.

You could try Harbor Bandit drains mana though.

increasing savagery >>> shadow slice

costs less, can be flashed back, provides a toughness boost.....all around better.

with so many unblockable creatures.... curiosity maybe?

elusive krasis is pretty weak here, requiring you to overcommit to the board to make him good.

Even if I don't commit to Krasis, he still becomes a 1/5 regardless of what I play (besides another Krasis.) He makes for a very decent blocker if need be.

Increasing Savagery is a good call. I'll have to find a copy.

Why is dimir guildgate in this deck when you have all those other lands? Guildgates are terrible because they take a turn to be able to be used.  And as a suggestion maybe you could throw in hunger of the howlpack to combo with bampire nighthawk or even better, rapid hybridization And abrupt decay.

Got my hands on a second Breeding Pool , so I removed the guildgate. Found a copy of Savagery to replace the Shadow Slice.

I may consider  Harbor Bandit over  Latch Seeker . He'll still hit as a 3/3 in most cases, is less mana-intensive, and has higher toughness to boot. I usually have two mana sitting around, so his ability won't be hard to activate.

Hunger of the Howlpack was something I was considering. I'll probably remove the keyrunes, as they tend to be slow and Harbor Bandit will be my new "Pay for unblockable" dude.

So let's do this:
-2 Latch Seeker (guess my coolio game day promos will have to sit in the binder after all)
-1 Elusive Krasis
+3 Harbor Bandit

-3 Dimir Keyrune
+3 Hunger of the Howlpack

I suppose some game results would be nice.

The first run of the deck (with keyrunes and seekers) took fourth at a local FNM. It performed decently, only getting mana-screwed in one game where I won anyway because I kept dropping Tormented Souls while my opponent wasn't getting mana either.

Subsequent runs (with the new additions) have proved decent enough. The +1/+1s help a lot in terms of getting damage out.

Still, I noticed I don't seem to have answers to certain problems and virtually no way to gain card advantage. I could add Curiosity for that, but I don't want to pump counterspells into the deck to solve the other problem and push everything else out. I could mainboard a fourth Abrupt Decay , but I dunno.

Thoughts?
