Borborygmos's Cunning
Sorcery
Target creature you control fights target creature you don't control to the death. The controller of the creature who won the fight draws three cards. (To fight to the death, each creature continues to fight until one or less are still on the battlefield.)
"Actually I'm quite well-learned and articulate, but when running a guild like gruul you need to know how to speak a certain..language"

Do I need to credit the person that's talking if that card is named after them, but not actually them?

Edit: hugeish edit. Is it obvious what to the death means? My intention is for them to fight, if they both live they fight again. If for some reason they are both indestructible I guess you could have in the comp rules a thing about that.

Edit Edit: Rule #whatever: Creatures that for whatever reason can't die are illegal targets for a fight to the death yadda yadda

Borborygmos's Cunning

Target creature you control fights target creature you don't control three times. The controller of the creature who won the fight draws three cards. (If only one creature lives it is the winner. If niehter creature dies or both creatures die there is no winner)
Gruul boxing matches are not simply a means of entertainment. The highest Gruul shamans use the fights to predict which part of ravnica they should smash next.

Things I don't understand:
What does "to the death" mean?
If a 1/2 and 1/2 creature fight, they're both fine.
What does "won the fight" mean. If a 3/3 and 1/1 Deathtouch fight, who won?

Rakdos Rumble
Sorcery
Each creature fights to the death.

Yeah this wouldn't work so I'll just abandon this awesome wording.

I remember when Detek tried to do this in Idol. ornithopter s fighting equals stalled game state. indestructibles fighting equals stalled game state. anything fightning near a bubble matrix equals stalled game state. more realistically, a resolved ethereal haze or forfend in response equals stalled game state.

120.6. Some effects replace card draws.

Neither of the two creatures actually die until SBEs are checked (after this is already done resolving) so if you want this to work you would need some sort of weird "until one of them has damage greater than or equal to its toughness" clause.

the game knows what lethal damage is from Conga Line of Death rules, you can just borrow that technology. that also solves the two indestructibles fighting issue, although the others persist.

I still like to pretend that the conga line doesn't exist.
