I'm pretty new to the game and I've been spending the last week just testing out of different cards work. I've been noticing, there are some seriously creepy cards out there. Makes me wonder what is in the head of the people who made the card. For example, one that especially creeped me out yesterday was Ad Nauseum. It's this person who has been writing for so long that he has completely worn off his skin and the bones in his hands to the point where they are just sharp sticks. Do you know how long you'd have to write for that to happen? Other ones that come to mind is and .

Black cards tend to do that more than other colors, because black is willing to work with things that freak other colors out; black actually doesn't so much "hate" green and white as considers them naïve and in denial of the way the multiverse works. Phyrexian cards of any color can too. Artisan of Kozilek is a different kind of horror. They were going for "everything you've been raised to believe is all a horrible misunderstanding; now here's the even more horrible truth and how it will destroy everything you know without even recognizing your existence".
Clever deduction Watson! Maybe you can explain why Supergirl is trying to kill me.

Ad Nauseum is meh. Dude's a Grixis zombie, I'm sure he's got plenty of time on his elbows. I don't quite get the creepy of Goryo's Vengeance or It That Betrays you seem to see. What does get to me sometimes is looking too close at Sign in Blood or Gaze of Pain , but more from an "ouch" perspective.

I literally have a physical reaction to the artwork of Foresee . Looking at a face with two sets of eyes like that seems to trigger some weird reaction in my brain and I have to look away.

Ditto. I had to take a sharpie to the upper set before I could use them. Bushy eyebrows are better than a headache.

Macabre Waltz and Treacherous Urge sound like they'd be right up your alley.

Screeching Skaab is nice and suggestive. Defang attends little kid's parties; while Tivadar's Crusade , alpha Fear , and Word of Command are all made of unsettling awesome too.
