gaze of the gorgon is a better choice than venomous breath, and if you were looking for cards similar to taunting elf, I know of nemesis mask and lure

I didn't even know about Gaze so I'll swap them, this used to run venom till the breath was suggested for instant speed. As for the others yes they turn things into taunting elf but I just like winning the game with him. He used to be thought of as a lame card, so I find it awesome to turn him into a win condition.

I'm assuming no removal is being played at your table?

If so, maybe some lightning greaves or something for protection?

Well I mostly win by playing the biorhythm after he attacks instead of forcing other elves through or having more than 3-4 elves out, and that tends to make people think my other elves are higher priority removal, I also used to run Wellwisher which was a removal magnet. The greaves are out of my price range and wouldn't let me play the required gaze/venom card, but there are other hexproof options I could look at. Also I was thinking of swaping in Infiltration Lens for my Harmonize because I need them in a deck I play more often, do you think they'd work good here?

I've been wanting to ask if all that Winter Orb/Meekstone stuff is REALLY that neccesary to win. Seems like unneccesary tech bloating everything to me. Green isn't great in the world of removal and threat management, but it's got a few things up it's sleeves.

It's not neccesary to win, which is why I'm only running 2 each, but its great for slowing down the other player/s (aggro especially). It also becomes more important if I have to dig for something(mainly Taunting, Gaze, or Biorhythm). Plus the stone is cool cuz you can have 2 Archdruids out and taunting will still untap, for anything else you need you can just run them through the Lodge. I kind of want to build an elf deck with Argothian Elder , Wirewood Lodge , and Elvish Guidance but I need to find a bunch of cool stuff to sink the mana into.

sheltering word could be a good hexproof option, plus some life gain if you direly need it

The word in good but as he tends to stay small the life gain really doesn' help. plus when I play biorhythm the life totals usually change dramatically.
