I wouldn't go tri-color.
If I were to make Delver come back, I'd try to focus on an Izzet deck, to bring izzet back too.
OR I'd throw Delver in a Simic deck, so you can have Delver be bros with Experiment One (HUman Insect with Human Ooze :D)
But in all seriousness, yeah I'd run Izzet.

I dont see any reason not to run tri color, the only reason black is there is because tribute to hunger takes out the new obzedet guy that will be the new thragtusk. it also gains me life.
black also gives me nighthawk, have you ever had a runechanter's pike on a nighthawk? Try it sometime. With the counterspells to back him up its powerful.
also, black has the best sideboard imo, appetite for brains is such a nice counterpart to pillar of flame, and slaughter games is a win condition in itsself against certain decks. and if I need a hexproof bruiser instead of my nighthawks i got the new mastermind in there.

Well, tribute to hunger won't guarantee you get his Obdezat, since it's voluntary sacrifice, he would surely have something else other than him on the field.
I agree that black has a solid board. But i'm just a stickler when it comes to tri-colors.. I don't know why :x
Why wouldn't you run with Invibsble stalker to put your runechanter pike on?

Delver just isn't delver without Ponder  Index  would be its obvious replacement, but it's terrible compared to Ponder.

1) with only 10 creatures to equip, having three runechanter's pike maindecked might be a bit much. You should probably take one out for another instant/ sorcery to flip delver.
2) what's up this the negates maindecked? Is it a meta call, or...? Just sticks out as weird to me.
3) with you running both black and red, there are better side options vs aggro than essence scatter. Any kind of removal would probably be better (ultimare price, dreadbore, victim of night, mizzium mortar, etc.) Honestly, not even sure you need the extra aggro hate, to be honest. Maindecked nighthawks + all that removal is pretty brutal vs aggro game 1.

the negate i bumped down to 2, but yea I see more mid range type decks coming into play so i use negate for the walkers, and w/e tricks they got.
and yea no need for index, lol index is crap. R.I.P ponder
