What has been your experience with Mind Grind so far? When are you casting it and how many cards on average is it getting you?

Good analysis. It might be more advantageous in limited, with slightly slower games and smaller libraries.

Has anyone thought of splashing and building a 'Mill Matters' Grixis deck? Here's something off the top of my head:

4 x Watery Grave
4 x Blood Crypt
4 x Drowned Catacomb
2 x Dragonskull Summit
3 x Nephalia Drownyard
7 x Island

3 x Rakdos Keyrune

4 x Thought Scour
4 x Jace's Phantasm
4 x Mind Sculpt
2 x Fling
4 x Duskmantle Guildmage
4 x Psychic Strike
3 x Mind Rot
3 x Consuming Aberration
3 x Jace, Memory Adept
2 x Rakdos's Return

Like I said, I just mashed that up on the spot, but what do you think of the core idea?

EDIT: I just realized that there's zero removal in this decklist. It looked good in my head when I thought it up!

Thought about a BUR Dimir Deck YES!!

Edit---- Removed Lober Crew cipher combo; it's not combat damage...

I am very intriqued with the possiblity of casting Undercity Plague as soon as turn 4 and copying it so it really matters. Goblin Electromancer and many ways to copy a spell. Maybe you can even copy your cipher spell before it's ciphered and double cast it every hit!

That infinite sadly wouldn't work. It says specifically that it must be "Combat Damage" so just having it deal damage wouldn't be considered combat. I think Lobber crew is one of the reasons they worded Cipher this way.

That is all.

The biggest problems I've encountered have been Witchbane Orb and Rest in Peace . Because of this, I'M GOING ESPER!! Any thoughts/suggestions on where to go from here? I know that Oblivion Ring Is getting a mainboard spot. I'd like the wincons to stay the same. In preparation for this change, I've switched out some removal for some tempo ( Hysterical Blindness ) and it has worked wonders against aggro. Sadly, it doesn't do a damn thing against those cards I listed above. Any helpful suggestions will be appreciated.

I know Witchbane Orb is pretty devastating, but I really want to use Psychic Spiral as my anti-mill tech; flash in Snapcaster Mage before your draw step and mill the other guy instead!

Outside of countering those cards, your only options are to bounce them (a lá Cyclonic Rift ) and counter them later, or to use Sundering Growth . Not the best, but it's really all you've got!

EDIT: Duress would be a good pre-emptive strike, as well.
