It would be great if we knew what guilds are doing the best.  Who won at your prelelease?  If you placed, what was your pool?  What was in your deck?  It would be nice to see what to expect from certain guilds.  Please show pics if you have your pool still intact.

I borrowed this from blood77.  All credit goes to him.  Great idea for a signature and I'm tired of people not autocarding decks.

At my 24 person prerelease, Orzhov won.

As for my deck, I don't recount exactly what I put in it, but just that it was a naya deck that averaged 3,1 cmc per card.

I had Boros and splashed green for Ghor-Clan Rampager and 3 other bloodrushers.

Boros appears to be the strongest based one all the reports I've seen. It put 7 people in the top 10 of a 70+ man event.

48-Man Event:

1.  Boros
2.  Dimir(Splash White)
3.  Orzhov(Splash Blue)
4.  Gruul(This was my placing)
5.  Boros

After taht I don't really know.  I know that boros did fairly well, although was not unbeatable with about half the Boros players placing rather high and the other half in the abysmal depths of the below.

I played a mid-range Gruul deck with 3 Disciple of the Old Ways and 3 Scab-Clan Charger that carried me hard in many games.  Desceptively powerful cards.  Threw in two Madcap Skills .  Lackluster removal, however the combat tricks proved to function very similar to removal most of the time.

Rubblebelt Raiders and Legion Loyalist proved to be absolute bombs most of the time, and is brutal when you have both on the battlefield.  That said, these cards only came out in something like 3 or four games.  Most games were decided by my common/uncommon bloodrushers, particularly the two cards noted above.

Another advice: Remember Holy Mantle ? Remember how everyone was dissapointed when they saw it?

Well it's a bomb that wins games, so there.

Considering how combat oriented this set is, I can believe it.  That would absolutely wreck house.

Another one in a similar vein (Although not a bomb) was Millennial Gargoyle .  There are very few decent flyers in the set, and I saw this carry quite a few games (A couple of mine included).  Considering how conditional most of the removal is, it's a very solid flyer that enables a lot.  Infact, everybody in the top 5 had at least one in their maindeck, and I saw many people who could have benefited greatly from it leave it in their unused pool.  Turned out to be quite the useful creature, considering how harsh its ICD treatment was.

Boros won at my LGS, but the 1st place guy got Aurelia, Firemane, Spark Trooper, 2 SunhomeGuildmages and a Trufire Paladin, and a couple of Boros charms, and enough crap to fill the rest of his deck as he went undefeated. Second place ran Boros as well, and splashed green I think. The rest of the top 8 were a mix of Boros/Gruul/Simic, with the occasional splash of black. No Dimir or Orzhov deck placed in top 8, though decent cards from those guilds made appearances in otherwise good decks.

I ran Naya, an almost equal mix of WGR, because my Boros pack sucked and my Gruul cards weren't quite enough, so I had to mix. It was effective, but getting mana screwed cost me a couple matches. If i hit my first four land drops, I won. That was how powerful those colors were; you didn't need much to win, and I did without rares in play or in hand in some of the games I won.

Bloodrush+Double strike means doom for your opponent, and 4 mana got that done easily...
If I'm right, I'm right. If I'm wrong, I still believe I'm right. Think of it as religion. dubito ergo sum.

My own personal rankings based on how I did were as follows:

*Boros (splashing blue)
*Dimir (splashing white)
*Gruul (splashing black)
*Simic (splashing black)
*Orzhov (splashing blue)

I really didn't get a lot of good control spells to enable extort.
