Somehow the Simic leviathans that stay improbably aloft combined in my head with Pablo's weird past tense cards to form this: Leaping Dandan Creature--Fish : ~~ gains flying until end of turn. At the beginning of each end step, if Leaping Dandan had flying this turn, tap all creatures without flying. 5/3 I'm not really sure how to judge the power level of this. It ironically seems like it fits best in a blue-and-something-else aggro deck rather than control, but it's also not that useful as an attacker since it will most often be used during the opponent's turn! It's probably too conservatively costed, too. That said, I like how the ability simulates a giant fish leaping out of the ocean and creating huge waves when it comes back down. And I like this particular use of the strange "had" mechanic.

I love Dandân !! As big a fan of past tense on Magic cards I am, I think it's possible to word this in a way that it does what you want it to do without the tense. Also power level seems ok to me.

Okay, here is the clincher. I've been waiting to say this.
The "cam girl" this was inspired by was just a girl from a social networking website, Stickam. Her name was TinyTerror and she was just a regular girl who was on her webcam, totally unrelated to any type of adult content.
I hope you all feel really smart now.
This is like someone coming into class with a bloody nose and everyone's like "Jeez what happened to you" and they're like "I ran into a wall" and everyone laughs at them for being an idiot but then at the end of the class they say "HAHA JUST KIDDING I PUNCHED MYSELF IN THE FACE!!!!!! TALK ABOUT OWNED HAHAHAHAHA"
I really enjoy imagining this from Kevin's perspective. Because in Kevin's world, Rosewater actually reads everything he types. Mark is sitting there right now, reading this, and thinking "The greatest trick the devil ever pulled. . ." Or some such. He chuckles low, then clicks on "The Best Of KEVINSET" and says "Yes, this'll do just fine. A busty lady with banding who deals direct damage to Zones!? Why this will be the star of my next set, and no one will ever believe you Kevin." Then he closes his Macbook, so his servant may move it out of the way, while another servant puts a Fetal Richard Garfield Clone lathered in Steak Sauce in front of him. Then Mark Feasts.
Sorin walked into the chamber where his newly wed bride, Vampy, awaited. A beam of moonlight illuminated his brilliant silver hair as he strode with confidence towards the bed. His shirtless body showcased his powerful abdominal muscles and he was wearing jeans with holes in the knees.
I wish more girls play magic cards...
Have you considered assassinating Kevin?

The "beginning of the end step" occurs prior to effects that don't wear off "until end of turn." So, it could actually say, "if Leaping Dandan has flying..." There's a couple things about that -- 1) It allows for interaction with the activated ability, like for the other play to remove flying from the creature, and 2) If prevents a lot of confusion about whether Leaping Dandan could be considered to have "had" flying if it currently "has" flying (and never lost flying). Power level seems fine. Not a Common. Either Uncommon or Rare. I would have expected flavor text from you!

Copy effects work like a photocopy machine: you get a copy of the 'naked' card, NOT of what's on it.
Funny story: InQuest Magazine (I think it was InQuest) had an oversized Chaos Orb which I totally rooked someone into allowing into a (non-sanctioned) game. I had a proxy card that was a Mountain with "Chaos Orb" written on it. When I played it, my opponent cried foul:
Him: "WTF? a Proxy? no-one said anything about Proxies. Do you even own an actual Chaos Orb?" Me: "Yes, but I thought it would be better to use a Proxy." Him: "No way. If you're going to put a Chaos Orb in your deck you have to use your actual Chaos Orb." Me: "*Sigh*. Okay."
I pulled out this huge Chaos Orb and placed it on the table. He tried to cry foul again but everyone else said he insisted I use my actual Chaos Orb and that was my actual Chaos Orb. I used it, flipped it and wiped most of his board.
Unsurprisingly, that only worked once and only because everyone present thought it was hilarious.

Hi guys! So, I'm a sort of returning player to Magic. I say sort of because as a child I had two main TCG's I liked. Yu-Gi-Oh, and Pokemon. Some of my friends branched off in to Magic, and I bought two pre-made decks just to kind of fit in. Like I said, Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon were what I really knew how to play. I have a extensive knowledge of deck building in those two TCG's. However, as far as Magic is concerned, I only ever used those two pre made decks. I know how the game is played, and I know general things, but now I want to get in the game for real. I want to begin playing it as a regular. My question is, are all cards ever released from the time of the inception of this game until present day fair game in a deck? Or are there special rules? Are some cards forbidden or restricted? Thanks guys, and I will gladly accept ANY help lol.
I have the same problem with women.
Is this my new ego sig? Yes it is, other Barry

And that's why you should never, ever call RP Jesus on being a troll, because then everyone else playing along gets outed, too, and the thread goes back to being boring.
See, this is why RPJesus should be in charge of the storyline. The novel line would never have been cancelled if he had been running the show. Specifically the Slobad and Geth's Head talkshow he just described.
Not only was that an obligatory joke, it was an on-topic post that still managed to be off-topic due to thread derailment. RP Jesus does it again folks.
I think I'm gonna' start praying to Jesus... That's right, RPJesus, I'm gonna' be praying to you, right now.

Please continue to make my time here on the forums fun and cause me to chuckle.

It was wonderful. Us Johnnies had a field day. That Timmy with the Grizzly bears would actually have to think about swinging into your Mogg Fanatic , giving you time to set up your silly combo . Nowadays it's all DERPSWING! with thier blue jeans and their MP3 players and their EM EM OH AR PEE JEES and their "Dewmocracy" and their children's card games and their Jersey Shores and their Tattooed Tenaged Vampire Hunters from Beverly Hills
Seriously, that was amazing. I laughed my *ss off. Made my day, and I just woke up.

How about giuve it islandhome when not flying ?
or maybe modify island home with flying IslandHome (if this creature doesn't fly) it may not attack a defending player that controls no islands.

Actually, that gives me a different idea. Can you trigger off of when things lose an ability? So:
"When Dandan loses flying, tap all creatures without flying"?
I'm leaning towards something weirder like that because I really wanted to specifically capture that idea of the Dandan splashing down, you know?
Since I'm new to this, what makes the power level ok? And what would determine its rarity? I mean, if I can take a stab at it here... I imagine you wouldn't want too many of these running around in Limited since big, flying creatures are pretty strong in that format. It wouldn't be unusual in that format to just give it flying and swing--the tap ability would be an optional bonus. Am I thinking correctly about that? (These are questions for anyone, not just FTK)
I'm going with RP Jesus's flavor text. :P
But a more serious one might be: "During the Dandan migrations, the entire city of Alexandria finds itself conscripted into carrying scrolls to the highest parts of the Library." Hm, a bit wordy...

I remember seeing that in your set. Great callback to the original card. I had to wrestle mightily with myself over whether or not to make this a 4/1...
