Returning to the game after a 4-5 year absence (last played just before Lorwyn released) and I'm going to be playing the London Grand Prix that's coming up in early Feb.

I wasn't much of a Limited player back when I played, but I figured it would be fun.  I'm familiar with all the rules of Constructed Grand Prix tourneys, but had a few questions when it comes to Limited.  I know some of the answers below are probably somewhere on the Wizards site, but I wanted real answers from people who've done it before.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

1. Will they supply basic lands?  I only ask because I don't have a collection anymore and am basically starting from scratch and this will be my first event.

2. Do I just go, sign up and pay my entry fee?  Or do I have to qualify?

3. I have to do well enough in Day 1 to make Day 2, correct?  Obviously, there's no way to know exactly what record makes Day 2, but assuming someone does well enough, they make Day 2, right?  Otherwise, it's go home (or play in side games Day 2)?

4. Just to confirm, decklists are required?

I really appreciate your help.  Thanks!

1. yes, you can get as many basic lands as your deck needs
you can also get additional basic lands when sideboarding

2. you simply show up, pay the entry fee (40 pound in this case), and play

3. yes

4. yes, but don't worry too much about them, they are provided by tournament officials and you just fill them out after you are done deckbuilding

basically what you need to bring is just yourself and the entry fee
counters, dice, pen&paper, etc. will of course be useful

I don't know anything about Grand Prix tournaments, but at store tournaments I always sleeve my cards after deck building. For this reason alone, I bring my own set of sleeved lands. I realize card prices are higher in Europe than in the U.S., but you should be able to go to a store and buy 25 of each land for a relatively small investment: If you keep playing, you'll want a good collection of land regardless.

Good luck and let us know how it went!

x-2 or better record is usually an automatic qualifier for Day two Drafting, regardless of the number of entrants.
bulletd Guidelines:

5.0: I will take this card no matter what. Creature 1 or playable 1 or hate 1. Domri Rade
4.5: Bomb and splashable. Creature 1-2, playable 1-2, removal 1. Obzedat, Ghost Council
4.0: Excellent first pick first pack, will sway me into same colors. Creatures 1-4, removal 1. Rubblehulk
3.5: Excellent first pack pick two, will confirm colors or possibly sway into second color. Ground Assault
3.0: Good in-color addition, or splashable removal/creature. Creatures 3-9, removal 1-3. Kingpin's Pet
2.5: Solid pick in-color; creatures 5-12, removal 3-5. Mugging
2.0: Creatures 10-16; removal 6-7. Act of Treason
1.5: My 23rd or 22nd card, depending on removal. Gutter Skulk
1.0: 23rd card if I don't maindeck an additional land. Mental Vapors
0.5: This card will sometimes be sideboarded in. Shattering Blow
0.0: I will shred this card for counters. Frenzied tilling
