i was trying to figure out if void stalker  could use its ability the turn it got in to the game. i got to this link http://wiki.mtgsalvation.com/article/Summoning_sickness now i know it cant. what i still dont know is : could he use it if there was no tap sighn in its cost.

It cannot its his ability right away. "Summoning sickness" prevent the creature from attacking or using abilities with the tap or untap symbol until it has started your turn under your control.
If the ability did not use the tap symbol, you could use it right away.

For example, Grand Architect  can tap itself to use it's ability the turn it enters the battlefield. Cheers
