Hi!

After reading that guide -> forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t...  I decided to make a fun/good multiplayer deck.

My deck is ok when I play with friends that use a "duel" deck because of all those "multiplayer only" cards that give me a huge advantage.

The problem when playing with it is that all my creatures never really survive more than a turn.

So I wanted some help from you guys.

I already have some experience in building decks for duel.

Normally we're about 3 to 5 players.

We play both chaos and Two Headed Giant.

3 x Lashwrithe

4 x Blood Artist
4 x Blood Seeker
2 x Bloodline keeper
4 x Malakir Bloodwitch
2 x Skirsdag High Priest
4 x Vampire Nighthawk

2 x Black sun's zenith
4 x Exsanguinate
4 x Syphon Mind
3 x Syphon Soul

4 x Leechridden Swamp
20 x swamp

I don't care if the deck become a totaly different deck but my budget is around ~30$ for all the changes (maybe 50~60$ if those cards are absolutely delicious). Any suggestions or advices are appreciated.

Thank you!

Are your dudes dying because of burn, point kill, mass removal?

Anowan, the Ruin Sage can be fun if he survives.

Why does this deck not have four Pulse Tracker ?  Also, Chancellor of the Dross is a Vampire and a Syphon Soul all in one.....before the game even starts!

My dudes are dying mostly because of target removal/burn.

I wanted to give Blood Seeker a try before Pulse Tracker . Both seems close enough in term of viability.

Chancellor of the Dross is awesome but only if you got it in your opening hand.

Would No Mercy / Dread  be a good option? If yes, what should I remove?

No, they would not.  Mostly because you are still taking the damage (which, many times, kills you).

I rate Blood Seeker over Pulse Tracker . I don't really fancy a trigger that requires its owner to attack with a 1/1. It's fine for a deck built around giving creatures evasion, but I don't see Tracker as a reliable source of more than a couple of damage per opponent. Seeker doesn't have to put himself at risk and can be expected to do a lot more.

Chancellor of the Dross is still strong as a late draw. It's not going to be an all-star in that situation, but it's still good and I don't think you'll be disappointed to draw it.

I don't think No Mercy or Dread are bad choices; they do have the problem Azureshade describes, but that only makes it ineffective against alpha strikes. There are more than enough occasions where having one of those out will deter attacks of opportunity intended to curb your gradual lifegain.

Finally, you could look at the upcoming Orzhov cards in Gatecrash (with the Extort mechanic). Whether there are any that will fit directly into this deck I don't know, but the mechanic suits. Oh, and you couldn't go wrong with a bit more removal to control the board. Attrition might suit, to go with Bloodline Keeper and Blood Artist . Or just more sweepers.

As for what to take out, the deck looks pretty strong overall. Syphon Soul would be my top choice, because I think it's a fairly redundant one-shot effect. It's strong, but I wouldn't fancy it unless I could use it multiple times. It doesn't affect the board, and you already have Exsanguinate to do the same thing, better. Second, Lashwrithe because I don't really see any urgent need to beef up creatures. I assume you're probably winning with Bloodline Keeper , Malakir Bloodwitch or Exsanguinate , and it doesn't greatly contribute to any of that. Finally, Skirsdag High Priest , because it really just looks like a weaker, harder-to-use Bloodline Keeper . You need to get spare creatures together, then wait for a Morbid trigger that doesn't also sweep those creatures. The deck's early game seems fine with twelve creatures who can be down by turn 3 (including all-star [c]Vampire Nighthawk), so I think you can safely switch him with something more expensive and less demanding.

Since your running some x spells, i would put in some cabal coffers and drop some swamps for them.  You could put in a single copy of Phyrexian Reclamation .   this would help you out.

No Mercy / Dread are very powerful in lifegain decks. They make the prospect of randomly attacking you quite miserable. Yes, alpha strikes will still get you, but that's far less worrisome in a multiplayer setting than it is in a duel.

Pulse Tracker is very very good if someone at the table doesn't have a lot going on. All it takes is one player with a bad draw/a defenseless deck to get a lot of damage through. I'm not a big fan of the Seeker myself because it does very inconsistent damage. What I like about versions of this deck with Chancellor and Tracker is that they can get lucky and win. Multiplayer, in my opinion, isn't about winning every game. It's about winning the games in which you draw well. A deck with Chancellors and Trackers will see a good 7 every few games or so and just crush the table. I enjoy that aspect of it. Sure, you lose some games miserably, but hey, what did you expect? You're playing a dorky tribal deck after all heh.

If removal is hindering you then I strongly suggest looking at revival engines such as Oversold Cemetery and mass recursion spells such as Patriarch's Bidding . The Reclamation is nice but I'd like to see at least 1 more recursive card in that deck if possible.

Does Attrition figure to be more powerful than Grave Pact on average? I'd wager no myself but I obviously can't say that with any certainty.

How useful is Black Sun's Zenith ? It seems like a bit of an odd inclusion in m mind.

Wow! That is a bunch of useful informations! Thanks

I'll try Pulse Tracker and see which one I prefer.

I'll also run a single No mercy than maybe add another one later if I need to.

Oversold Cemetery and Patriarch's Bidding are indeed VERY interesting cards, I have to get those

Grave Pact seems really great with Black sun / Blood artist / recursive cards.

I find Black Sun's Zenith useful when I don't have any control over the board and every one is a step after me. With Blood Artist on the field it could be insane too. What are you suggesting to replace Black sun? More Chancellor / bloodwitch?

4 x Blood Artist
2 x Pulse Tracker
2 x Blood Seeker
2 x Bloodline keeper
3 x Malakir Bloodwitch
4 x Vampire Nighthawk
2 x Chancellor of the Dross
2 x Guul Draz Assassin

2 x Black sun's zenith
4 x Exsanguinate
4 x Syphon Mind
1 x Patriarch's Bidding
1 x Oversold Cemetery
1 x No Mercy
1 x Grave Pact
1 x Phyrexian Reclamation

4 x Leechridden Swamp
2 x Cabal coffers
18 x swamp
