Hello 16Post! I actually like this better than Vesuva casually. I've had many a time in my mono-red burn deck where I've held nothing but mountains and Vesuvas (and no Posts). Being able to change after the fact is wonderful. I'm betting this is already a $10 card online. Amirite?

Questions though, if I copy a cavern of souls , can I choose a new creature type? or I got whatever creature type my opponent choose when he/she plays his/her cavern of souls? or I don't get any creature type at all?

so for :2: you can blow up a legendary land, or for :2: fix whatever mana you need that you have only one of (like turning this into a glacial fortress if you only have 1 blue). You could also play this for the colorless mana, then when you dont need it can turn it into a manland via either inkmoth nexus , treetop village , raging ravine or celestial colonade to put up alot more pressure. Or if you are playing a steal effect and take whatever mana you dont have from your opponent to cast it. Seems interesting, and I like that it can be vesuva when you need it while still advancing your mana base and shift when appropriate. Seems good as a 1/2 of. Would be hilarious to see two of these in a R/X (non green) deck, and use both to copy an opponent forest and wolf run. Of course, that would be EXTREMELY rare, but hilarious

You certainly don't get to choose a new one (that only happens when it enters the battlefield, not when it gets copied). I have a feeling you get the one your opponent has already chosen. Don't quote me on that, though.

This is awesome, if only for the flavor. Not sure how good it would be in the obvious deck (12-Post) but if nothing else it's fun in casual and great in EDH.

Unfortunately, you don't choose a creature type as Cavern of Souls has an EtB effect, and this does not copy on enterring the battlefield. When it copies a land, it is already present.
That said, pretty sure on the keeping the creature type thing, if at all(Which is quite possible). Though that's a question for someone else.
