Tonight will be my first try with this deck... I am gonna use Islands sideboard for now because it should work. LordofLard... Thanks for the sideboarding tips. With Reckless Waif I think the practise has been to side out Stromkirk Nobles and put in Reckless Waif against control decks, because in theory for the first turn or two they don't cast spells. But from what I have been seeing control decks have been a lot different this standard season. Anyways, I will report on how I do with this deck on the weekend sometime. Tonight is a LGS' weekly thing, and then I am gonna try it at FNM th weekend.

It seems the theory of going under the opponent has kind-of caught on. Saito posted a list yesterday that feels very in the vein of this list, although different in a number of ways: 10 x Mountain 4 x Stomping Ground 4 x Rootbound Crag 4 x Rakdos Cackler 4 x Stromkirk Noble 4 x Lightning Mauler 4 x Flinthoof Boar 4 x Burning-Tree Emissary 4 x Ash Zealot 4 x Boros Reckoner 4 x Pillar of Flame 4 x Rancor 4 x Volcanic Strength 2 x Madcap Skills Now obviously it's gruul, and after some playtesting it feels very similar to Island's style list. It explodes out the gate, and uses the auras as the burn of this list. My biggest takeaway after playtesting, and something that can absolutely be used in mono-red... Madcap Skills. This card is unbelievably good. One drop into Madcap is always a ton of damage, and if they don't have removal you can easily just end the game with one guy, plus it provides extra evasion against those lists who like to drop annoying things like Augers of Bolas. I'm going to brew up a new mono-red Madcap list here in a while, I'll try to post it after some playtesting, if it goes well.

NOOOOO. Don't cut Noble.
You sideboard in Waif if you are on the play or against a slow deck. If they aren't playing Lingering Souls, they come in over Loyalist (if they are a slow deck).
You board in Furnace Devil on the draw or against decks where it will consistently kill things.
The sideboarding is pretty tough and depends on if you are playing or drawing.
Pillar comes out if it kills nothing. I will always board in a 3 damage to the face over it. Tibalt is marginally worse on the draw and pretty bad against crazy aggressive lists like Saito Naya. If you don't have Boros Reckoner, I'd cut a Forge Devil and add 3 Volcanic Strength.

Here's what I'm looking at playing at a win a box tournament this Saturday:
Land: 21 Mountain
Creatures: 4 Rakdos Cackler 4 Legion Loyalist 4 Stromkirk Noble 4 Vexing Devil 4 Ash Zealot 3 Boros Reckoner
Sells: 2 Furor of the Bitten 4 Pillar of Flame 4 Searing Spear 3 Skullcrack 3 Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded
SB: 3 Recklass Waif 3 Forge Devil 2 Glaring Spotlight 1 Skullcrack 3 Thunderbolt 3 Brimstone Volley
I might do a last minute switch with Reckoner and Volley MD. Might cut Spotlight last minute for 4th Waif/Devil, but I'm thinking I'll be seeing a lot of GoST and I'd rather I be able to just kill it. So far my plan is to board out 1 of each of my 1 drops to either bring in Waif (on the draw VS slower decks) or Devil (on the draw VS Lingering Souls/other Aggro). Volley will replace Tibalt in the Aggro match up.

How necessary is Vexing Devil to this deck? I truly cannot justify trading for them at 5-6 apiece.
Edit: 6-7, lol wow.
pretty important. 4 damage most of the time. Turns on brimstone volley for 5. Its one of those cards I usually dont remove.

So the report says you were otu of contention after round 2. Surely that's the opposite of what you want in a tournament?
I think the point of the report was that it was a learning experience and he saw opportunity, not dismay.
Also, Cyrus, please don't troll an IRL friend of mine. I appreciate the intent but he indicated he had time to reflect on everything during round 3. Your comment was by and large unnecessary but I gave you a response nonetheless.
I wasn't trying to be offensive, just practical. Sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings, if you're not ruthless about your decks and their performances, you end up wasting time on lists that aren't going to be winning you tournaments.

Well, I used this deck last night, and I loved it! It is brutally savage..... One game I had a guy at 11life at the end of my second turn..... Then I miracled a wrath on t3, and closed it out with a skullcrack, and on turn 4 I speared him. I only went 2-3 last night, but I had no chance to to try it out before we started, and each game I lost I would have won on next turn. I even stopped a human reanimator deck from doing the infinite life combo with a skullcrack putting him at 3 life, and on my next turn I just skull cracked again. I am gonna run this again at FNM this friday and see how it does. And Tibalt is amazing btw.... One guy I beat in two games I used tibalts -4 both games to finish him off. I would have done better, but I know I made a few misplays and they ended up costing me with a bad overall win/loss ratio. Hopefully this friday is better. But honestly, I had not had that much fun playing magic since the october rotation. I am gonna remove the reckless waifs from my sideboard and put in some tormod's crypt... They were the only sideboard cards that I found useless. Every other one I used. Even forge devil's vs. Thalia. It was funny when one of the better players at that store just sat there staring at Tibalt. All,he said was, "I don't know what to think about that..."

A deck like this is about as unforgiving as it gets in Standard. Just keep that in mind.
You have to play excetionally tight. You have to use your burn perfectly and you have to be very wise to get the most mileage out of Tibalt.
A single misplay here can often be curtains. You gotta practice.
Enjoy.
